The best part about my receiving this bag is that I will also host a giveaway later this week so one of you can win your very own Jennifer Haley fringe bag in the same style, color, and size I am wearing.
Proenza Schouler Intarsia Wool-Blend Mini Skirt in Red/Orange
Jennifer Haley Stroll Jumbo Fringe Handbag in Sand - Thanks to Jennifer Haley
Straying away from my black, white, and gold motif, I indulged in my bohemian side for a change. Thanks to this beautiful cognac colored fringe leather handbag that Jennifer Haley sent me it was quite easy to imagine my ensemble for the day. The bag is made right here in the USA with the softest, buttery leather. It is a fabulous bag and just as good if not better quality than any high end designer handbags. I know because I own some other ones and I can compare the leather. I adore this bag. It is almost the perfect partner to my black suede Jimmy Choo fringe bag. The best part about my receiving this bag is that I will also host a giveaway later this week so one of you can win your very own Jennifer Haley fringe bag in the same style, color, and size I am wearing. The bag itself retails for $550 so I am very excited to be able to give you the chance to win it. I try as much as I can to reward loyal readers in any way possible through these giveaways. It isn't any fun if you don't have the chance to get something courtesy of or gifted, right?
Starting with an investment purchase for fall, an entire outfit formed before my eyes. This Proenza Schouler Navajo print skirt is a wool fabrication and was very much a splurge. Instead of buying 3 different lower end Aztec, Navajo, or tribal print skirts, I chose my favorite and the highest quality one. I am planning on wearing this in various ways and that is the best thing about fashion blogging. You could end up spending the same amount total on 3 mid-range skirts that you like or you can spend the total on one high end designer skirt you love. It sounds risky, but your closet will thank you because you will have more room and you will end up wearing and loving the one skirt much more than the other 3. This knowledge comes from my own shopping experiences over the past couple years and due to a summer closet clean out.
Playing off the orange of the skirt I wore my 525 America orange fuzzy sweater yet again. This is my third time styling it this fall and each time I surprise myself by how much use I get out of this soft, rust colored sweater. It feels great to utilize a piece in so many different ways instead of just wearing it once and throwing it in the drawer. The first time I wore it with a black pleated skirt and the second time I wore it with black leather pants. On top of the sweater I layered an Equipment leather shirt in this stone color that sorta matched one of the colors in the skirt. I left it open and used it as a jacket. The Equipment shirt was probably the best snag in this outfit because Gilt Groupe was having a fabulous sale. Leather shirts can be investment pieces and used in many different ways so don't overlook them. For the rest of the look I wore gypsy earrings in my favorite garnet color. They played off yet another color in the skirt. You can see the Alaia cutout booties are fast becoming a basic black ankle boot with a twist in my wardrobe. Last time it was colder so I layered knee high socks over tights when I wore the boots. This time it was a bit warmer so the tights were fine alone.
