Tibi Shearling Jacket

Underneath the jacket I did some nifty layering for the cooler Denver nights by wearing an Equipment chambray shirt buttoned up underneath a Helmut Lang sheer silk asymmetrical sweater.

Black and brown together in one garment is always an eye-catcher so when this Tibi shearling jacket appeared in my line of vision there was no question that it would be the perfect leather jacket for fall.  The shearling detailing and aviator style makes it all the more appealing to me.  After all, don't we all still wonder about Amelia Earhart and what exactly happened to her plane?  Whenever I think of aviation and aviator jackets she still comes to mind.  Underneath the jacket I did some nifty layering for the cooler Denver nights by wearing an Equipment chambray shirt buttoned up underneath a Helmut Lang sheer silk asymmetrical sweater.  This Helmut Lang sweater moves right into fall when you layer the long sleeve underneath it.  Chambray and denim shirts are essential items in my closet and I find myself utilizing them quite often.

The bleulab jeans were a gift from Tea Leaf Clothing and they have come in handy.  They are reversible so basically a gray pair of jeans and a black pair of jeans in one.  I am wearing the black side here.  They conform to your body shape, but they don't stretch out that much so you always end up looking pretty sleek.  The Dolce Vita ankle booties are an old favorite of mine.  I like the leather cuff detailing and this time I chose to leave the cuff up instead of folding it down.  It seemed to fit with the rustic setting in these photos as well.  I think this might be one of my most casual outfits to date since I rarely wear jeans.
