Veda Florida Leather Shorts in Black

Miu Miu Studded-Heel Platform Pumps in Black

American Eagle Western Bonfire Shirt in Denim Blue

For the past few seasons leather shorts have been all the rage and they don't seem to be going away any time soon.  These Veda leather shorts must have been inspired by the gym with their buttery soft leather and rounded leg openings.  The elastic panel makes them seem even more athletic.  I bought these at Shopbop in the spring and I have been wearing them ever since with tights and without tights.  This is the first time I have gotten to photograph them for Fashion Snag.  They are pretty short shorts, but luckily the looseness makes you feel less exposed.

Leather items seem to go so naturally with denim and since there was a chill in the air I chose a button down cowboy-inspired denim shirt from American Eagle.  This shirt is extra soft and features pearlized white snaps.  The stitching is western inspired and the fit is slightly shrunken with a faded wash to the denim.  You can find denim shirts for a great price anywhere so I wouldn't break the bank when buying one.  My favorite denim shirts are this one that cost me $44 and one from the Gap which didn't cost much more.  The Gap shirt I have is more chambray looking as I like to have options.

Pumps with studded heels have been seen almost everywhere.  Sam Edelman even had a pair on the market that I was lusting over before I found these Miu Miu pumps on sale last Christmas.  The leather on these is tough so you don't have to worry about scuffs and the heel is decorated with larger studs, pyramids, and spikes.  Best of all, these Miu Miu platform pumps are just as comfortable as all my other Miu Miu and Prada shoes.  Studs will never get old in my book and as long as designers keep coming up with different ways to utilize them I will always be attracted to studded pieces.
