Jean-Michel Cazabat Ciara Booties in Black/Silver - Snagged off Gilt.com
While looking all over for a jacket that was all black with leather sleeves for fall I stumbled upon this eon jacket by Helmut Lang. There is actually a trench coat version of this jacket as well that is quite beautiful. I am lusting over it just a little bit even though the price is steep for something made in China. This Helmut Lang wool and leather sleeve jacket is perfect for fall because it isn't too hot, but it keeps you warm on a cool night. The body is all wool with leather sleeves and it does have shoulder pads. At first I didn't know if they looked good on me, but now I don't think they look too bad. I have broad shoulders so I try to stay away from the extra shoulder padding. I have already worn this jacket twice. It is lighter weight than an all-leather jacket so I find it easy to lug around if I want to take it off once I get somewhere. The design is asymmetrical so this jacket works well with high waisted pants or jeans and maybe a loosely untucked shirt.
It was the perfect jacket to wear to The Capital Grille here in Denver. My favorite courses are the tuna and the lobster macaroni and cheese. My order is always the same and I like to drink Pellegrino. We met up with my long lost brother who I haven't seen in almost four years and my sister-in-law. The Capital Grille is always chilly so this jacket kept me really warm. Underneath it I am wearing the brightest Equipment silk blouse I own in a color called lime sherbert. This blouse was snagged at Saks for around $70. Usually Equipment blouses will run you $200 retail so it was a pretty good deal. I like the loud yellow color contrasting with the black in my outfit. My mother always told me yellow wasn't my color, but still I find myself wanting to wear yellow. I love yellow for some reason. I wore my J Brand maria high waisted black jeans. These are the best jeans to wear if you are going out to eat because they have a lot of stretch. I hate wearing low rise jeans to dinner and then feeling like a stuffed sausage by the time I am done with my meal.
The Jean-Michel Cazabat ciara booties are some shoes I snagged off Gilt for around $100 a couple years ago. I photographed them with an outfit on Fashion Snag last year, but I like this outfit much better. Mary Kate Olsen has these boots and she wore them with baggy denim cut-offs a couple years back. They are leg elongators due to the tulip vamping and they feature a shiny silver heel. The silver leather piping trim also sets them apart. They are not my sexiest or my highest shoes, but I can guarantee that your feet will not be hurting at the end of the night in these. Jean-Michel Cazabat makes his shoes in China now, but a couple years back he was making them in Italy. These boots are made in Italy, but I do have two other pairs of his shoes that are made in China. I love them all equally because they are comfortable.
