Express Ribbed Hem Knit Sweater in Gray - Snagged at Express in the mall a few years ago

You have only seen me wearing flats once before on the blog when I wore my Givenchy studded ballet flats here with a long dress.  I like ballet flats, don't get me wrong, but they don't make me feel as wonderful as a pair of killer wedges or heels.  When I got these ballet flats from Giuseppe Zanotti in leopard pony hair I changed my mind.  These are the most comfortable pair of ballet flats I have ever owned.  There is no contest.  Now, I only own a pair of Chanel ballet flats and the Givenchy ones so maybe there are other comfortable ballet flats out there by another designer, but right now Giuseppe Zanotti is in the lead.  These leopard flats have the same leopard pony hair print as my sculpted platform wedges seen here and I loved those to death so when I saw these I was sure I would love how they looked in person.  I waited and stalked these ballet flats until the price became too low for me to resist purchasing.  Needless to say, an hour after purchasing them the rest were gone.  This was after Christmas though so that could have had something to do with it.

I love mixing leopard with burgundy and as some of you who follow me on Twitter know I was looking for the perfect pair of skinny corduroy pants.  Well, not long after tweeting about wanting them I happened upon these burgundy skinny corduroys on the Rag & Bone website for $54!  I could not believe they were so cheap, especially since they retailed for $180.  I bought them right away in this color and a few other colors since the price was right.  They also come in navy, black, and hunter green.  I think they are still available in some sizes and colors if you are interested.  I am very happy with them and they make a great pair with my burgundy suede skinny zipper pants by Rag & Bone that I snagged for an unbeatable price.  I like burgundy with gray as well and I had pulled this knit sweater by Express out of my closet to wear again.  I like to mix older items with newer ones and this outfit fit the bill.

xoxo
