Believe it or not, we haven't had many beautiful days this spring to take outdoor photos for Fashion Snag. I am happy to have the studio so I can always photograph whatever outfits I am feeling that day, but I don't think anything can compare to the landscape of Colorado in an outdoor shoot. It can be a cool day in Denver, but if the sun is shining it will warm you up just enough to feel comfortable. I snagged this Haute Hippie suede western shirt off of Shopbop for 50% off. I always wanted a suede button down shirt even though it is an impractical item to own in terms of laundering and wearing a lot. I like that this shirt is fitted for a more feminine look. This one has wings on the back near the top and an HH emblazoned across for Haute Hippie. To tell you the truth, I could have done without the HH, but in all other respects I am in love with the shirt. It is a brown color, which is great for Colorado and fits in with the western theme. A black suede shirt might seem a little too dressy. I have to say that Haute Hippie makes such beautiful pieces. I can see myself in all their collections, but the prices are high so I like to wait for a sale on most items.
When I was looking for a sleeveless white dress to go with this suede brown shirt I ran into a real big problem. All my white dresses had sleeves, which would not work with the fitted sleeves of the shirt. All the other white dresses were not what I had in mind as well so I settled on the one dress I could find, which is actually a dress I purchased at the Tucker Brown boutique in Aspen, Colorado last year. I photographed it for Fashion Snag as well so you can see how I wore it in the last post. It worked pretty well once I layered it over my Only Hearts nude slip since it is sheer, but I realized I need some more sleeveless white summer dresses in my closet. I then wore black opaque tights because it still isn't warm enough on most days to go bare legged even though I would really love to let my white legs get some sun. I finished off the look with my brown ruched Brian Atwood ankle boots. I guess Cameron Diaz owns these ankle boots as well and she wore them with jeans. I will try that next time. For jewelry I kept it simple as I usually do and wore a necklace that was given to me last year from Jitni. It has a fabric tie and a green stone flower. I think it was actually perfect for this outfit and I like how I styled it this time more than the first time I wore it. We never run out of beautiful places to shoot and fences always make for pretty photos.

When I saw this colorful combination vest/scarf by Diane von Furstenberg on Shopbop I fell in love. I don't own anything else by DvF, but this vest is so beautiful that I would definitely buy another piece. I love the bright yellow and the fringe. Next time I will have to try wearing it as a scarf, but for now it will work over any solid color dress and even with a tank and denim shorts. The possibilities are endless. It is a great piece to add to my wardrobe since it performs a double duty as a scarf and a vest, plus colors and prints are hot for summer. At first I wasn't sure if the bright yellow would work with my skin tone, but it looks pretty good I think.
I paired it with a black ribbed tank dress by RVCA. I own this dress in white and I have worn it a couple times on the blog in that color. I also own the same dress in a green color. It is just a long, raw hem wife beater tank top made into a dress. It is so soft though so it makes for a great layering piece. I put on a vintage knuckle shield ring for a turquoise pop of color and this silver mesh bracelet my boyfriend picked out at the Tucker Brown boutique in Aspen, Colorado last summer.
These Lanvin wedge ankle boots go with absolutely everything and they are easy to slip on so I wore them again. I found them on eBay brand new from a fabulous seller who didn't even jack up the price like others usually do. It was a great experience for me on eBay and I ended up with my very first pair of Lanvin shoes.

Tucker Brown Mesh Stud Snap Bracelet in Silver - Gift from Boyfriend at Tucker Brown in Aspen, Colorado
Anarchy Eyewear Chord Sunglasses in Black - Courtesy of AnarchyEyewear.com
This netting tank top by Alexander Wang has leather trim detail and is actually pretty cool due to all the snaps. I snagged it off Shopbop for 70% off and it is perfect for the transitional weather. The only downside is that my boyfriend has to snap it up for me each time I wear it. I paired it with my favorite Siwy denim shorts in black. I really like the pockets hanging out of my shorts. I know it bothers some people, but I think it makes the shorts look like I have had them forever. These Givenchy woven wedges popped up on Yoox in my size and I had always wanted them. I heard they were uncomfortable, but I walked around all day in them without any blisters. I really like how they look from the front with all the straps. For accessories I chose some aviator looking shades by Anarchy Eyewear and a beautiful mesh bracelet from Tucker Brown that feels so cool against my skin.

Pretty Angel Fashion Silk and Crochet Tank Dress/Vest Combo - Snagged at Tucker Brown Boutique in Aspen, Colorado for $95 Retail
Only Hearts Second Skin Chemise Spaghetti Strap Slip in Nude - Snagged off RevolveClothing.com for $42.75 (Retail: $57)
Jennifer Koning who designs one of a kind headbands and necklaces for her line Breathe Couture sent me this beautiful floral headband. It has a variegated purple gerber daisy and another similar colored flower. In the center of each flower there is a vintage button from Paris. The turquoise elastic waist is also vintage. I have a link to her Etsy shop in my outfit description above. The best part about her pieces is that they are all reasonably priced. A headband similar to the one Jennifer designed for me is around $40. Her pieces are all so feminine and easy to incorporate into your outfits. I hope you visit her Etsy shop!
I wore my headband with a piece I picked up from a brand new boutique that just opened in Aspen called Tucker Brown. Everything in the store is under $100 so it is a pretty good deal if you are visiting Aspen and want something to take back to show your friends. I love the mixture of silk and crochet used and the bohemian vibe. I paired this tank dress and vest with my Givenchy lace crochet sandals. The antique rose color of these shoes is perfect for summer and a nice departure from the usual black.
