One of my most outstanding wardrobe pieces has to be this Adam shearling and leather circle skirt I snagged off the Shopbop website.  I saw this piece when it first popped up in the new arrivals section and I wanted it badly.  However, I decided to wait it out and literally stalked the skirt until it got marked down.  Luckily, they had one left in the size I thought I needed.  I knew this skirt might not be the most flattering or slimming due to the sheer volume, but I adored it anyway.  When I received it I was ecstatic.  It came on a skirt hanger complete with little pieces of matching leather backed shearling in the clips so the hanger did not leave marks on the skirt.  Don't you hate when that happens?  It was as beautiful as I imagined it would be and after seeing so many photos of it going down the runway it felt great to have it in my collection.  Who knew shearling and leather would work in a skirt so well?

I kept the look simple because I wanted to emphasize the skirt.  Since the skirt is so full I wanted to keep it slim and form-fitting on top.  I paired the skirt with this Splendid turtleneck.  It is an old standby of mine and I believe that Splendid makes the best basic turtlenecks.  They are around $50 and they do not stretch out.  I own one in charcoal gray as well. 

For accessories I wore my cashmere-lined leather gloves again.  I liked the line the gloves created with the turtleneck because they were both the same color black.  These Prada mary janes added the perfect pop of color to this outfit.  I always wanted a wine colored pair of suede shoes and I was lucky enough to get these for Christmas.  They are classics I think and perfect for this time of year.  I was really impressed with a lot of the Prada shoes from the fall 2010 collection.

Due to snow and cold I had to take these photos indoors, which was a welcome change.  Earlier today it was pretty sunny, but as I waited for my photographer to return home the weather changed from sunny to cold and snowy.  My boyfriend surprised me with these Fendi heels and I was more than ecstatic!  Isn't he so sweet?  They are dangerously high and sexy and I am totally in love with them.  I have to be careful not to step on one of the tiny toy poodles when I am wearing them.  I think the heels could kill.  At first I had the turtleneck untucked, but then that covered up the detailing on the trousers so I tucked it in and I think it looks pretty good that way.  I had been waiting for a chance to wear this huge pearl necklace with a black bow and the black turtleneck proved to be the perfect backdrop.  I added the little hat as an accent piece and took some photos with it on and some with it off.  In the end I liked it off and my boyfriend liked it on.  We agree to disagree on many things, but we both agree that these Fendi heels are seriously cute.
