I cannot get enough of Equipment's signature blouses and they look so gorgeous in this python print. I have been seeing a lot of snake prints around lately in blouse and cardigan form. It is something I usually shy away from as I am more attracted to leopard print items. However, this may be a turning point. I love all my silk shirts and I feel that they will be classic closet staples. There are so many different ways you can wear them. You can tuck them in, button them all the way up, leave a few buttons unbuttoned, or wear them as cardigans over tanks and dresses. I wore my silk blouse open over this ribbed tank dress and to sweeten up the snake vibe I wore my cutest suede mary jane heels by Prada. To add a little color for spring even though the weather has been less than desirable around here I wore a turquoise stone shield ring.

When I saw this colorful combination vest/scarf by Diane von Furstenberg on Shopbop I fell in love. I don't own anything else by DvF, but this vest is so beautiful that I would definitely buy another piece. I love the bright yellow and the fringe. Next time I will have to try wearing it as a scarf, but for now it will work over any solid color dress and even with a tank and denim shorts. The possibilities are endless. It is a great piece to add to my wardrobe since it performs a double duty as a scarf and a vest, plus colors and prints are hot for summer. At first I wasn't sure if the bright yellow would work with my skin tone, but it looks pretty good I think.
I paired it with a black ribbed tank dress by RVCA. I own this dress in white and I have worn it a couple times on the blog in that color. I also own the same dress in a green color. It is just a long, raw hem wife beater tank top made into a dress. It is so soft though so it makes for a great layering piece. I put on a vintage knuckle shield ring for a turquoise pop of color and this silver mesh bracelet my boyfriend picked out at the Tucker Brown boutique in Aspen, Colorado last summer.
These Lanvin wedge ankle boots go with absolutely everything and they are easy to slip on so I wore them again. I found them on eBay brand new from a fabulous seller who didn't even jack up the price like others usually do. It was a great experience for me on eBay and I ended up with my very first pair of Lanvin shoes.

Hanky Panky Bengal Retro Bralette in Brown - Snagged off Shopbop.com for $38.50 (Retail:$60)
This is one of my casual bohemian outfits. I lived in this Nightcap Clothing motif vest last summer, throwing it on over all of my tanks. It has huge pockets and leather fringe. I can never resist fringe. You can wear this vest upside down as well if that makes any sense, changing the V of the leather cutout back to point up instead of down. I will wear it that way next time. The last time I wore this vest was last summer in Aspen shopping with my friend Christina. It has some good memories. Nightcap Clothing has always been one of my favorite brands. I was surprised that this vest got marked down so much since I find it pretty irresistible.
I paired it with this RVCA ribbed tank dress that you have seen me wearing before on Fashion Snag. In fact, last time I wore this I paired it with yet another fringe vest, a leather one by Of Two Minds. It is a great basic tank dress to have in your closet, but a little bit sheer so I wore my leopard bralette from Hanky Panky underneath. This little bra was pretty cheap at Shopbop and it is ultra comfy. You cannot go wrong with Hanky Panky lingerie. It is all comfortable.
The Rick Owens ribbed wool leggings were a snag during the Christmas sales at Net-a-Porter. They are oh so soft and very stretchy. The seam detailing is amazing. They are a little sheer so I wore the longer tank dress by RVCA to cover my butt. Sometimes wool can be itchy, but I guess the wool in Italy is a little different if you know what I mean. I wore a long tassel necklace by R.J. Graziano that I wore before on the blog with a leather fringed vest. This necklace is a great costume piece of jewelry that you can mix and match with many things. I always like to have plenty of fun jewelry to spice up my outfits. I feel like the fringe on the necklace matches the fringe on the vest and I am okay with that since I like fringe so much. R.J. Graziano makes some great quality pieces and you can usually find a sale on Gilt so make sure to join.
Last but certainly not least, I wore my Brian Atwood mauve suede slouchy button back ankle boots. They are almost a light pink color and very different from my other shoes. They remind me of something an 80s Barbie might wear. They have a button in the back so I think you can unbutton it and wear the shoes with a little less slouch. I will have to try that next time. I snagged these on the Outnet and I wore them before on the blog with Nightcap Clothing lace inset leggings.

Kimchi Blue 3/4 Sleeve Pintuck Tieback Tunic in White - Snagged off UrbanOutfitters.com for $43.50 (Retail: $58)
Some of my favorite things that I currently have in constant rotation are these Siwy Madeline denim shorts in black. I never get sick of the striped pockets hanging out and neither do other people. It seems to amuse random strangers on the street and I guess I don't mind if I entertain them. These ASOS heart suspender tights now have a few snags in them because I have worn them so much, but now that they have some defects it makes me want to wear them even more. Does that happen to anyone else? I am almost happy for the imperfections. They feel more like home now.
In honor of my goal to wear absolutely everything in my closet I found this Kimchi Blue babydoll tunic shirt that I bought off the Urban Outfitters website in 2008. To bring it back to life since I am not really into babydoll tops I left it unbuttoned. I really like how I re-invented it. I wore this outfit to the mall believe it or not. I haven't been to the mall in a while and at some point I completely stopped shopping there, but it was nice to feel the fabrics in person instead of reading a description on the web. My Topshop aggie boots are the last item I have had in rotation recently. They never fail me for comfort and style. I dislike shoes that take forever to put on even though I have been guilty of buying shoes exactly like that. Ah, some things never change!

Fleet Jewelry Rebel Rebel Mix and Match Earring - Courtesy of FleetJewelry.com
Lauren from Fleet Jewelry sent me this amazing single rebel rebel earring. Thanks Lauren! I think this is the longest earring I own and it is very edgy. It is from Fleet Jewelry's "Carry the News" collection. I paired it with a bohemian inspired outfit consisting of my favorite velvet and silk pants by Stone Cold Fox. On top I wore a very versatile RVCA y-back tunic which I also own in white. It was cool outside so I wore this silk and cashmere knitted cardigan by Kimberly Ovitz. The details in this cardigan sweater are amazing and I tried to show that by letting the light shine through the fabric.

My friend Christina and I couldn't decide if this vest was a good item to add to my wardrobe or not, but in the end I went for it. I have always wanted a long fringe western looking vest and this one fit the bill quite nicely. The price was a little high, but when you love fringe you lose all sense of reason. We didn't know how many times I would actually wear it and if it could be paired with a lot of items. I loved it so much I wore it out when it was almost 100 degrees so if it looks like I am melting in these photos you know why. This RVCA dress comes in pretty handy and I have worn it a few times with denim shorts and as a dress. These wedges were purchased at a Barneys sale recently and they are easy to walk around in for the summer. I added some turquoise color with this headband I found lying on my dresser and then I layered 2 different necklaces, one short and one long, to complete the look. I really don't spend that much time putting my outfits together. The clothes within my reach are the ones I pick because I don't like to dig through everything. One day I will organize my closet.
