I admit that I am a little in love with all things Missoni, M Missoni, and even resembling Missoni prints.  I bought these shorts on Shopbop when they first debuted on the site and I was waiting and waiting for a warm day to wear them outside without tights, but that day never came so now you get to see them inside with tights.  They are way too sparkly and adorable and high waisted to wait around for a sunny day.  I actually am surprised at how great they look with the tights.  The shorts themselves are very thick and well constructed.  The neutral tones are good for matching with many items already in my closet.  You saw me wearing a different pair of M Missoni knit shorts last year on Fashion Snag without tights.

Since I was wearing so little on the bottom I wanted to cover up the top a bit more.  I opted for this drapey white tank top from Tea Leaf Clothing.  As you know, LnA makes some great basics and this tank top is nice and lightweight so you can wear it alone in the summer when it's really hot or pair it up with a businesslike blazer now.  I personally love it worn underneath this blazer because it subdues the shorts a little bit due to all the extra draping in the front.  It is a nice addition to have peeking out between your lapels.  This Rock & Republic blazer was the buy of a lifetime.  It is extremely well made, lined in silk, and it has leather trim.  I remember it was one of the first black blazers I bought and at the time I thought it would be very versatile.  It has proved to be a timeless piece and because it is high quality it has held up quite well.  I wore my Prada suede ankle strap platform sandals.  The heel on these gets me every time.  You saw them worn a couple weeks ago on the blog without tights.  I wish the weather was still that wonderful!

My boyfriend and I took these photos just before heading out of the house on one of the warmest days yet here in Denver.  I wore my new Rock & Republic alicia ankle boots.  These had just come in the mail and I could not wait to rip the box open.  I snagged them off of RueLaLa for such a low price during a recent sale.  Rock & Republic used to make their shoes in Italy, but now they are made in China.  I find the quality to still be very good, but the shoes are a little lighter than some of my Italian made ankle boots.  The price was right and I think they are so edgy and comfortable.  They have a leather cap toe and then more leather around the ankle and the rest is suede.  These also come in gray suede.  I haven't seen them around anywhere else for the same price I paid, but if you do some google searches these booties are still up for sale.  The zipper is a dagger, which I think makes the wedge unique.  You should join Rue La La if you haven't done so yet because the final sales are fabulous.

I wore my new wedges with a Spring & Clifton mini skirt.  I call this my jailbird skirt.  It is short and has black and white stripes and frankly I call it as I see it.  Spring & Clifton calls this a rumour mini skirt.  I guess we will have to compromise.  This was my first Spring & Clifton purchase and the quality is very good.  I saw the skirt pop up in the new arrivals section at Revolve Clothing and I am a sucker for a stretchy, body-comforming knit mini skirt so I snagged it immediately.  Stripes are always in and especially for summer.  The skirt is pretty thick and well-made so I will be watching for more things from Spring & Clifton in the future.

I wore the jailbird striped skirt with an LnA swing tank that Karina from Tea Leaf Clothing sent me.  This tank is best paired with a form-fitting bottom to really accentuate the hemline.  I really liked how it looked with the striped mini.  It is a basic top to have in your closet for summer and the jersey material is very soft against the skin.  For jewelry, I wore a vintage stone bracelet that hasn't come off my wrist all week and a CEEK jewelry hamsa diamond necklace in gold.

I usually have nothing but love for most designers and brands I wear and talk about on Fashion Snag, but I have to say that I was very disappointed in these metallic leather leggings by Alice + Olivia.  I purchased them last spring on sale directly from their online shop and I wore them for the first time while taking these photos.  When I was in the car and we were driving around I noticed after we took these photos that the leather was literally disintegrating or falling apart on the pants.  There were no ripped seams or threads, it was just falling apart.  They are made of very thin leather with a canvas-like backing.  You can see the weakened fibers and it is really shocking.  I had no problem putting these pants on or anything, but this will be the last time I buy leather pants from Alice + Olivia.  I contacted them directly, but I have yet to hear back from them.  I feel it is fair on my blog to tell you the truth about the quality of all the items I model and this is no exception.

The rest of my outfit consisted of a favorite layering technique I have been into lately, probably a kickback from my high school days.  I layered this totally adorable Dolce Vita baby alpaca cropped sweater complete with elbow cutouts over a Nation LTD burnout tee.  Take notice that the elbow holes on the sweater are built for someone with normal length arms.  My arms are freakishly long and the holes did not sit on the elbows for that reason.  Regardless, I love this sweater and I purposely picked it for the black metallic leather leggings because I like to mix navy blue and black.  Anyone else into mixing those two colors?  I am announcing here that I want to resurrect the burnout tee.  I am sure many of you remember Nicole Richie and numerous other celebrities wearing this Nation LTD karen burnout tee to death back in the day.  I thought what better way to make a comeback then underneath a cropped sweater.  It keeps the burnout under control, but still allows me to use something older from my closet.  By the way, this tee is very soft and I may have slept in it a few times.

For shoes I chose these Rock & Republic isla pyramid studded lace up boots that I snagged off RueLaLa.  I have to admit that I was looking for these boots for a long time and was very happy to see them pop up on a sample sale website.  These boots have been seen on Emma Watson and Chanel Iman.  Believe it or not, Rock & Republic used to make their shoes in Italy and these particular boots are made in Italy.  I like the little patch of studs on the front of these ankle boots.
However, a year ago I bought a pair of shoes from one of their recent lines and was suprised to see that they are now making their shoes in China.  Those shoes were really cute nonetheless. 

I bought this coat from Vera last year and it is reversible faux fur.  I wore it both ways to show you how versatile it is.  If you need to keep warm, this coat will definitely keep you toasty.  Which way do you like it best?  Furry on the outside or the inside?  As always, if you want to buy something from Etsy you should look up Vera and check out her blog Deep in Vogue on my lovely links page.  She is always coming up with new creations and the quality and sewing on her pieces is incredible.

What a difference a pair of tights can make!  These tights have been seen on Cheryl Cole.  My boyfriend bought these for me as a gift for Christmas and I think they are fantastic.  They really spice up a little black sweater dress.  Wolford is great for quality tights.  I didn't know if I would like them when I first saw the name of them, bondage, but they are great for the winter.  Next time I am trying them out with shorts.  They have a nude part near the top half of the thighs that this dress covers up.

Vera gave me this shawl last year as a special present with one of my orders.  She makes some beautiful pieces and I included a link to her Etsy shop.  If you want some faux fur in your life this winter she designs these shawls and the price isn't bad for the beautiful craftsmanship.  Black patent pumps by Prada seemed to be the proper shoe to top off this outfit.  I never thought I would find a perfect pair of black pumps until I saw these.

You don't see me wearing blazers very often, but this one is my favorite one of all time because it fits me perfectly and doesn't give me linebacker shoulders.  I already have broad shoulders for my frame so it is difficult to find blazers that don't make them appear even broader.  This Rock & Republic blazer also has leather trim details around the pockets and button holes, plus I got it for a really cheap price off Gilt. 

I think I was going for a more classic look here and my boyfriend really liked this outfit on me.  These Alice + Olivia denim and leather leggings were a 70% off section snag on Shopbop.  Never underestimate that 70% off section.  I found my faux fur vest I am wearing in the post below there too.  Sometimes at the end of the season is when you will find all the best deals.  I am guilty of buying shoes I love in different colors so I first bought these Prada pumps in nude and then went back for the black as well.
