Wanting the Versace skirt to shine in all its colorful glory I paired it with a simple cape style pleated silk blouse from T by Alexander Wang.

A pleated print silk skirt from Versace seemed like the perfect match for this cape-like white silk blouse. You could call this a pleat on pleat look. Finished off with mary jane heels and hoop earrings the ensemble was simple, but definitely eye-catching. You can subscribe to my YouTube channel to see all my videos.
The retro vibe of the sweater commanded the entire look right down to the side ponytail and the brown handbag.
Feeling a retro, preppy vibe from this new colorblock mohair sweater, I styled a look around it. Using my favorite oxblood colored leather wrap skirt, maroon mary jane heels, and a brown handbag, I assembled an outfit with fall colors and a 1960s university feel. Personal touches such as a bright orange wool scarf wrapped around the handbag, as well as maroon and gold hoop earrings and a low side ponytail really captured the feel of the era. I found that my love for southwest and Navajo prints goes beyond cardigans and sweaters. It also extends into dress territory. This knit dress with the beautiful southwest print by Catherine Malandrino has been sitting in a drawer of my dresser waiting to be worn for over a year. I finally took it out on the perfect night. I paired it with a fringe beige Abercrombie scarf and some turquoise hoop earrings. My large Jimmy Choo bag that I lugged all around Europe one summer completed the look. I picked up these Sergio Rossi brown ankle boots at a recent Gilt sale. I like the asymmetrical detailing and I felt like I had enough black ankle boots. These photos were taken indoors before leaving for dinner. As you can see, I was getting pretty hungry!

I absolutely adore this color combination. Lately I have this wild obsession with anything and everything lace and when I spotted this top, in emerald no less, I had to have it. These skirts by Joie are an amazing combination of silk and cotton which I could live in for days. The wine color is not bad either. My booties are so victorian that every time I look at them I fall in love all over again. They make me so happy! My tights obsession includes this J Crew pattern, which I wear way too much. I thought minimal jewelry in the form of pearls was an absolutely necessary touch to this outfit. I had been envisioning this color pairing (emerald & wine/ green & purple) in my head for a couple weeks and when I put it on I was as giddy as a little girl.
I own lots of clothing and shoes and sometimes I become so overwhelmed with the choices when I open my closet I just give up. I usually start with a piece I really want to wear, like this green lace top and then I go from there. I think about what color I would want to pair with it and then head over to my skirt section and find something suitable. The shoes either come first or last in my creations.
The fashion center of Denver is North Cherry Creek. We thought we would do some shopping while on this photoshoot, but most everything was closed hence the title of this post.
