Denver is still pretty warm so here I am in probably my last pair of shorts for the season. Subscribe to my YouTube channel to see all my videos.
By Malene Birger Baquilla Mohair Sweater in Blush - Snagged off Shopbop.com for $164.50 (Retail: $235)
Maggie Ward Leopard Ponte Shorts in White - Lilac version worn before here with Miu Miu satin pumps and black version worn before here with Alexander Wang sweater and Balmain buckle boots
Miu Miu Shearling-Lined Lace-Up Platform Boots in Dark Brown - Worn before here with 3.1 Phillip Lim jacket and Alice + Olivia leather shorts
James Perse Long Tank in Black - Worn before here with Alexander Wang denim leather shorts and Balmain fringed boots and here with Alaia nude platforms and Quail skirt
Out of all my mohair sweaters I think this one is my favorite because it has a really cool rounded hem that dips lower in the back. Also, the blush color is just perfection. I like pink and I used to own a lot of pink stuff, but somewhere along the way I quit wearing it. Now I realize that pink looks pretty good on me, especially with my skin tone and hair. I think there might be a pink invasion on Fashion Snag in the near future, but I could always change my mind. I am picky like that. Anyway, this was my first purchase from the line By Malene Birger and I am very pleased with it. The name of the sweater, baquilla, actually caught my eye as well. I ordered it two sizes larger than what I would normally wear and I think it looks better this way. I also own a Graham & Spencer gray mohair sweater and a Sonia by Sonia Rykiel black mohair sweater. You could say I went a little overboard with the mohair, but I will never admit it. I never met a loose knit I didn't like. This one does shed a little bit so I keep my lint roller handy.
I kept the look from being too scandalous by wearing my trusty James Perse long tank underneath. This is a basic piece that I love and I always keep it out for layering purposes. I definitely want more of them. I streamlined the bottom half by wearing some stretchy shorts by Maggie Ward. I own these shorts in a lilac leopard print as well and also in plain black. They are easy to put on over tights and they don't wrinkle. I also like them underneath dresses that are too short. I don't think I will ever get sick of leopard print. Maggie Ward makes some fabulous pieces that are high quality. I also own some silk pants by her that I wore way back in the beginning of my blogging career. These ponte shorts are thick, but not so thick that they add any extra pounds. I noticed that Shopbop does not carry Maggie Ward anymore, but that is where I originally purchased the shorts.
For shoes, I wore my Miu Miu shearling boots. I love these boots so much and I basically want to wear them with anything and everything. They are ultra comfortable and they slip on due to the zipper in the back. The front lacing is just for show. You can't really unlace these puppies. The color is really unique as well and I think my boyfriend did a good job of capturing that. My favorite color to pair these boots with is blush.

Balmain Buckle-Detailed Suede Boots in Black - Snagged off theOutnet.com for $642 during Balmain pop-up sale (Retail: $1605)
Alexander Wang Cowl Neck Sweater in Camel - Snagged off Saks.com for $315 (Retail: $525) and worn in charcoal here with Miu Miu harness ankle boots
Maggie Ward Ponti Hot Shorts in Black - Snagged off Shobop.com for $50 (Retail: $150) and wore same pair in leopard print here with Miu Miu satin platform pumps
Chanel Camelia Diamond Ring - Worn before here with Dolce & Gabanna heels and Quail dress
Those who follow my blog closely will notice that I caved and bought this Alexander Wang cowl neck sweater in camel as well. I wore it in an earlier post in gray with some suede and plaid pants. All I can say is that it is the perfect oversized sweater to lounge around in all day and the alpaca is so soft and cozy. I like how the camel color sorta matches my hair too. This time I paired the sweater with some Maggie Ward hot pants and tights. For shoes, I chose these Balmain buckle boots that I have been dying to wear all summer. I snagged them during the summer in my size at an Outnet pop-up sale. I have good luck with shoes and to tell you the truth, I was never that keen on all the buckles when I saw these boots on celebrities. However, now that I have them I know how beautiful they truly are in person. I prefer them with tights since they are bulky and cut off your leg. I tried to wear them once over the summer, but it proved fatal due to the heat. Balmain does some crazy stuff to you! In the video, Teddi and I talk about adventures with squirrels and later I tell you more about my outfit.

Miu Miu Satin Platform Pumps in Black - Snagged off NetAPorter.com
Maggie Ward Leopard Ponte Shorts in Lilac - Snagged off Shopbop.com for 30% off
Robert Rodriguez Cross Back Tank in Black - Snagged off Shopbop.com for 70% off
These leopard jersey shorts are very thick and I love the light purple color for spring. They are the perfect way to add some animal print into your wardrobe. I also own some silk cropped pants in black by Maggie Ward that I wore in a post last fall. I think she makes pretty high quality, comfortable, and trendy items. I adore tanks with interesting backs and this Robert Rodriguez one fits the bill. It is also super soft, which makes it all the more wearable. These Miu Miu satin pumps were purchased when I had given up hope of finding the sparrow printed mary jane version. Alas, the sparrow print showed up on the Net-A-Porter website the day after I purchased these. My solution was to keep both pairs of Miu Mius so stay tuned because I will be debuting the navy and white sparrow mary janes soon. These satin shoes are so easy to walk in due to the chunky heel and the detail on the front makes your legs look miles long.

Vest - Handmade and designed by Vera of Deep in Vogue/Gruhche on Etsy
Streets Ahead Studded Flower Belt - Snagged off FreePeople.com
Maggie Ward Black Silk Drawstring Cropped Pants - Snagged off RevolveClothing.com
Camilla Skovgaard Saddle Sandal - Snagged off Gilt.com
I am in love with these pants. They are silky and I think once I wear them enough I might just turn them into pajamas. The only negative is the wrinkle factor and since I have a love/hate relationship with my steamer, I try to avoid steaming at all costs. When I first got this belt I did not know if I would get that much use out of it. I am usually into wider belts. Then I bought this vest from Vera and I wanted it a little more fitted so I added this belt and presto! I think it almost looks like it belongs with the vest. Lovely! I love this vest so much. I had planned to show you my top underneath in some photos by leaving the vest open in a relaxed fit, but there were too many weird people milling about. Whenever we go on our dog walks we see no one, but photoshoot time brings out all the crazies. I am a pretty shy person and even though I have this blog it took me a long time to work up the courage to start it. The heels are by Camilla who I am in absolute love with because every shoe she designs is a piece of art and these are no exception =) I thought the contrast of the wool vest with the silk pants was really interesting. Next time I will wear the vest open and relaxed. I am in love with all of Vera's creations as you can tell. She is my favorite designer at the moment!
