I tend to stick to pretty basic colors in my clothing, but when it comes to shoes I really go wild.
I've been leaning more towards simple silhouettes that follow the shape of the body. A knit skirt like this one is really nice to wear with just a basic white tee. Jazz things up with quirky accessories like a bag featuring some cool hardware and colorful pumps. You can subscribe to my YouTube channel to see all my videos.

I have been in the mood for stiletto heels and pumps lately, which is a change for me because usually in the summer I love to wear wedges more often. The good thing about pumps is they always make your legs look good and extra long. These Miu Miu suede pumps were a great sale snag at Barneys last winter. They are this light pink or rose color, but the product description originally said nude. Either way, I love them. Suede pumps are easier to dress down for daytime wear than patent leather pumps, which is what I like about them. These also have a taper toe and they aren't quite as high as some of my other pumps.
I wore them with these beautiful MINKPINK floral shorts that Karina from Tea Leaf Clothing sent me. I love the fabric on these shorts as it is so soft. I think for the price point you really cannot go wrong with these. I have wanted a pair of high-waisted floral shorts for quite some time and these really fit the bill. Brands like MINKPINK are great because you can find those trendy items you want for summer for a fraction of the price. Some of you may remember a couple little black dresses by MINKPINK that I wore last summer on Fashion Snag. The quality is also really nice for the price as far as I am concerned. I also like BB Dakota for trendy items at a cheaper price. The crepe fabric on these MINKPINK shorts keeps your legs cool, but the longer length makes you extra comfortable. Also, these shorts come with a detachable black leather belt. Sometimes brands and designers use faux leather belts with items, which really bothers me if they are charging a lot for the piece. You can use the code STARSTYLE for 15% off your order on regular priced items at Tea Leaf Clothing.
I paired the floral shorts with this floral lace racerback tank by LnA. I remember when LnA came out with all their lace tees and tanks and people were going wild for them. I am glad that lace is always in style. This tank is perfect for the 98 degree weather we have been having here. I like wearing it with just a knit bra underneath. I liked the floral on floral concept in this outfit due to the floral on both the tank and the shorts. I think the play on textures is what made it work. For accessories I went with the girly floral look and added some Chanel pearl earrings and pearl sunglasses as well as a Tiffany & Co. dragonfly ring. I usually try to keep the jewelry to a minimun, but it felt right in this case to add some pearls due to the floral motif.

Linea Pelle Vintage Military Belt in Cognac - Snagged off RevolveClothing.com for $89.25 (Retail: $105)
In this post I am wearing three brands that are new to me and Fashion Snag. The first brand that is a new purchase is Linea Pelle. This belt is a beautiful cognac color and I noticed all the Revolve Clothing models were wearing it in their outfits. I love a good belt and the price was right so I thought I would try Linea Pelle out. I am in love with their belts now and already bought some more. I figure you cannot go wrong with some basic black and brown leather belts for your waist or hips. The leather is soft and buttery like I like it and not at all stiff. I paired the belt with another new brand of denim I am trying out. These are Genetic Denim high rise cutoff shorts. I have never worn high rise denim shorts before, but I am crazy about this pair. They fit me perfectly and give me a refreshing silhouette as compared to all my low rise denim shorts. I am not really into vintage clothing so I had a hard time finding some high rise denim shorts online, but if you are looking for some I would highly suggest this style by Genetic Denim. The denim is a bit stiffer than my Siwy denim, but I think it works for the high rise style.
Giles & Brother sent me this gorgeous railroad spike cuff and I have been wearing it nonstop. This is my first piece of Giles & Brother jewelry. I was very impressed with the fast shipping and the packaging and the cuff goes with everything. It reminds me of my Grandpa who passed away as well. He worked for the railroad. It was a wonderful gift because I tend to wear bracelets a lot more than any other pieces of jewelry. Karina from Tea Leaf Clothing sent me this basic tee from LnA. It has a twist in that the pocket is slightly slanted and it has a zipper. If you need to store anything in there you know it won't fall out. Also, the fabric of this LnA tee is softer than some LnA tees from past years. The Miu Miu clogs are self-explanatory. I will have to venture into all my other shoe boxes soon because the rest of my shoes are getting jealous.

Vintage 70s Snakeskin Convertible Clutch in Black - Snagged off eBay.com
Wearing some vibrant green colors always puts me in the mood for gardening and out of all my Pleasure Doing Business skirts this color is my absolute favorite. The side ponytail is something that makes me feel like a kid again. This vintage purse was a great snag off of eBay and it converts into a clutch as well. It is black snakeskin and seems to really pop against the green of the skirt. I am still in the midst of a closet clean-out and in the process I am actually becoming less interested in shopping and clothes. It seems best to only buy what you really love, no matter what the cost, and wear it to death. You only need one white silk blouse to really make you happy. I feel like I am weeding a garden while going through my wardrobe and you know weeding can be really exhausting. I do think the designer shoes were a good investment because I am not interested in donating any of those at the moment. I wear them all from time to time and since they were relatively expensive and designer I still enjoy them.

I am most definitely on a Kenny kick lately and I am not ashamed to admit it. In an effort to only buy what I truly love and can wear over and over again in many ways I ran into this skirt. It stopped me dead in its tracks. Actually, Shopbop was selling the skirt, but it was in this different print called multi and it also had a zipper. The print was not nearly as cute as this Missoni print though. Kenny even declared that the print and color be called Missoni. Can you believe it? So when I was debating whether or not to buy the skirt off Shopbop even though the print wasn't calling my name I came upon some random online boutique offering the same skirt in this print. I was sold! I also saw that Planet Blue was selling the Missoni print as well, but they were sold out. The boutique had a code for 20 percent off and I snagged the skirt. The skirt is now completely sold out at Jessie Boutique. So the skirt is definitely not Missoni fabric, but who cares? It is adorable and made in the USA. Whoever this Kenny person is who is designing these cute shorts and skirt is a genius! When I look at the skirt I think of sunshine, butterflies, and bunnies. It screams summer.
The great thing about this skirt that I haven't mentioned is the fact that when you put it on you don't have to pull it up over your bubble butt. You can just place it over your butt, pull it forward, and then zip yourself into it. In that way, the skirt conforms to your body. Maybe I am the only one who runs into this, but sometimes I buy skirts that fit me in the waist, but don't go over my butt so I have to put them on over my head. I paired the Kenny skirt with an LnA tee that I wore in the post before because the pearl color was the perfect match for the cream bands in the skirt. I also wore my Chanel studded clogs yet again. I really love them. Things I love I tend to wear out until they are demoted to guinea pig cage cleaning duty clothes. This cuff is unique in that it has little cutout daisies all over it. I think it accents the skirt quite well.
