Jumpsuits and rompers are always fun to wear in the spring and summer. This retro inspired one from M Missoni was a recent sale snag. I love the blue and green colors in it. It also has a nice stretchy fit thanks to the fabric. I paired it with some old favorites from my closet.
We had a beautiful day that felt like summer in February so I pulled out my new floral bustier and leather sandals. I paired them with the cutest turtle necklace. I finished off the look with some old favorites including a pair of high waisted denim shorts and a suede fringe bag for a bohemian feel. Shop the entire look below. (Jerusalem Sandals - UNDER $80!, 7 For All Mankind Denim Shorts - old - similar pair here, The Fifth Label Bustier - UNDER $80!, Jimmy Choo Fringe Bag - old - similar bag here, I Love My Dog Jewelry Turtle Necklace - UNDER $20)
My friends over at Jerusalem Sandals let me take a peek at their collection and I ended up falling in love with these brown buckle sandals. All Jerusalem Sandals are handmade in Jerusalem and feature the softest leather. It is almost like these sandals were broken in before I even slipped my feet into them. I love all the strappy detailing which looks beautiful on your feet. They also have some nice cushioning to them making them extremely comfortable for walking. I can tell you that I wore these sandals all day long and I did not get any blisters. That rarely happens with these types of sandals. I think because the leather is soft and not stiff it really made a difference. You can purchase these sandals for under $80 and they run true to size. I will be wearing them all summer long. I was lucky to get a really nice day here in Denver where I could wear them outside in February. How crazy is that?
I styled my entire look around the sandals and the first piece I wanted to wear with them was this amazing and cute floral bustier from Fashtique. Fashtique is an amazing shop with wonderful and friendly owners who are there to help you with all your questions. When I was unsure about the sizing on this floral bustier they were happy to help. Fashtique carries unique labels and designers and features a curated selection of really cool pieces. I am wearing an extra small in the bustier if you are interested in purchasing. I would say it runs true to size as that is my usual size on top. The bustier is only $70, which is a steal for such a beautiful and high quality piece. I cannot wait for summer so I can wear it with all my skirts.
Since I had so much of my neck exposed I knew I wanted to wear a dainty necklace. I picked out this adorable turtle necklace from I Love My Dog Jewelry on Etsy. I Love My Dog Jewelry makes beautiful handmade pieces and the best part is that your purchase helps support animals in need. How wonderful is that? I picked a complimentary green charm to go along with my turtle and I love how it turned out. I Love My Dog jewelry carries so many gorgeous pieces so be sure to check out the selection. The necklace I am wearing was under $20. I Love My Dog Jewelry would also make a great gift for someone.
I finished off the look with some older pieces you have seen before including these 7 For All Mankind high waisted denim shorts. They are so destroyed that you can see the pockets through them, but that is part of the reason why I love them so much. I have had them for years and the denim was soft from the beginning. They conform to every curve. I found a similar pair here in a lighter wash. You can see how I wore this pair with sneakers here. These shorts run true to size as I am wearing my usual denim size so I assume if you buy a recent pair of 7 For All Mankind denim shorts the sizing should be the same. I added some bohemian vibes to the look with a fringe suede bag from Jimmy Choo. I have had this bag for years and it is still in style. You can see how I wore it with Missoni wedges here. I found a bag that is really similar to the one I am carrying for around $100 here.
Check out the video to see how to incorporate neon pink into a spring look! I wore my comfiest boyfriend jeans with a crochet crop top and racerback bra for an edgy look. Gold accents in the form of a chain bag and dainty ring finished off the look. You can subscribe to my YouTube channel to see all my videos.
This look could have gone one of two ways. I could have paired it with the black pumps you saw in the previous post, but I decided to spice things up with some neon pink. Neon pink and black always give me Avril Lavigne vibes in a good way. This look is definitely an edgy minimalistic one and had I paired it with the black pumps it would have been even more of that style. However, I think by adding the neon pink wedges I gave the look a little more personality. My last look was similar, but without the bright colors. At one point in my life I wanted a pink laptop, but that was a long time ago. Now I have to fight myself to wear some other shoes besides black pumps. Just remember that if you wear the basics and mostly black you can get away with a pop of neon pink every once in a while.
