We had a fun day in Cherry Creek and hit up some of our favorite spots to get coffee and yogurt.
I bared my toes for the first time since the temps allowed it and I was way too giddy to wear these tamarind colored suede platform sandals. They have that 70s vibe. I wore them with high rise skinny jeans, a deer tank, and a perforated leather jacket. I kept things simple in terms of jewelry and wore one heart ring. Sunglasses are a must in Colorado througout the year. You can subscribe to my YouTube channel to see all my videos.

The moment I saw this poodle sweater at Revolve Clothing I knew it had to be mine, merely for the fact that the love of my life is a little 2.5 pound white poodle named Teddi. The other love of my life is a black 5 pound poodle named Bella. The sweater also came in white with a black poodle, but I ended up liking the black version better so sorry Bella. I think a poodle sweater and a poodle skirt is something every girl probably wanted from the moment she saw Grease or maybe I am the only one. This was my first piece of clothing by Milly and I think I will be back for more because they also make some darling plaid skirts. The collar on the poodle says Milly, which I find pretty damn cute.
So this outfit came together pretty quickly. I picked out this red memory fabric skirt by Anzevino & Florence first. I tend to gravitate towards girly skirts like these pretty often. I wanted to wear the skirt because it seems like more of a winter skirt with the dark blood red color and all. For a top I wanted to do something different instead of a typical tight long sleeve or short sleeve so I went for the sweater. Pretty soon I was feeling a 50s vibe so I thought I would add the herringbone tights. I was getting sick of the same old black tights. These Jill Stuart jolene booties were something I searched high and low for simply because I think they are so victorian and different. Not everyone appreciates them, but they always make me smile. Over a year ago on Revolve Clothing, they had just about every model sporting these booties, but they were nowhere to be found. However, Gilt Groupe saved the day in the end and I got them for a great price. Whenever I wear them I pair them with full skirts like this one. Old habits die hard.

I absolutely adore this color combination. Lately I have this wild obsession with anything and everything lace and when I spotted this top, in emerald no less, I had to have it. These skirts by Joie are an amazing combination of silk and cotton which I could live in for days. The wine color is not bad either. My booties are so victorian that every time I look at them I fall in love all over again. They make me so happy! My tights obsession includes this J Crew pattern, which I wear way too much. I thought minimal jewelry in the form of pearls was an absolutely necessary touch to this outfit. I had been envisioning this color pairing (emerald & wine/ green & purple) in my head for a couple weeks and when I put it on I was as giddy as a little girl.
I own lots of clothing and shoes and sometimes I become so overwhelmed with the choices when I open my closet I just give up. I usually start with a piece I really want to wear, like this green lace top and then I go from there. I think about what color I would want to pair with it and then head over to my skirt section and find something suitable. The shoes either come first or last in my creations.
The fashion center of Denver is North Cherry Creek. We thought we would do some shopping while on this photoshoot, but most everything was closed hence the title of this post.
