Stepping away from the classic black and white minimalistic looks I've been styling lately, I went back to my other favorite style with this bohemian look. Bohemian outfits with fringe and Navajo prints have always been a favorite of mine and they work quite well in the summer. In the winter they can work too by adding some extra layers and paying attention to the fabrics so you stay warm. A trendy piece that you can pick up to wear with some basics already in your closet is a wool blanket skirt with an Aztec print. On top you can wear a colorful fuzzy sweater that matches the colors of fall leaves. Over that you can wear a stone or beige colored leather jacket or shirt. Pull on some tights and your favorite pair of ankle boots that have some extra special details. Top it all off with dangly gold and cranberry colored earrings and a cognac colored fringe leather bag and you are set. I am most definitely on a Kenny kick lately and I am not ashamed to admit it. In an effort to only buy what I truly love and can wear over and over again in many ways I ran into this skirt. It stopped me dead in its tracks. Actually, Shopbop was selling the skirt, but it was in this different print called multi and it also had a zipper. The print was not nearly as cute as this Missoni print though. Kenny even declared that the print and color be called Missoni. Can you believe it? So when I was debating whether or not to buy the skirt off Shopbop even though the print wasn't calling my name I came upon some random online boutique offering the same skirt in this print. I was sold! I also saw that Planet Blue was selling the Missoni print as well, but they were sold out. The boutique had a code for 20 percent off and I snagged the skirt. The skirt is now completely sold out at Jessie Boutique. So the skirt is definitely not Missoni fabric, but who cares? It is adorable and made in the USA. Whoever this Kenny person is who is designing these cute shorts and skirt is a genius! When I look at the skirt I think of sunshine, butterflies, and bunnies. It screams summer.
The great thing about this skirt that I haven't mentioned is the fact that when you put it on you don't have to pull it up over your bubble butt. You can just place it over your butt, pull it forward, and then zip yourself into it. In that way, the skirt conforms to your body. Maybe I am the only one who runs into this, but sometimes I buy skirts that fit me in the waist, but don't go over my butt so I have to put them on over my head. I paired the Kenny skirt with an LnA tee that I wore in the post before because the pearl color was the perfect match for the cream bands in the skirt. I also wore my Chanel studded clogs yet again. I really love them. Things I love I tend to wear out until they are demoted to guinea pig cage cleaning duty clothes. This cuff is unique in that it has little cutout daisies all over it. I think it accents the skirt quite well.

Givenchy Lace Up Wedge Bootie - Snagged off Yoox.com for $445 ( Retail: $795)
Sunner Parker Romper in Hunter - Snagged off Shopbop.com for $78 (Retail: $260)
Isharya Filigree Daisy Cuff in Gold - Gift from Boyfriend off Gilt.com
My wardrobe should be filled with hunter green colored things. I found this romper a couple months ago in the 70% off section at Shopbop. Admittedly I am a little leary about some of the items in that section and the reasons why they end up there, but I took a chance on this silky little romper. It did not disappoint me. The color is probably the best color out there for me to be wearing due to my skin tone and hair. I paired it with my very comfortable Givenchy lace up wedges and Isharya gold daisy cuff. You will never see me wearing a million rings on my fingers because it really gets in the way of washing my hands. I like to wear bracelets a lot though.
On the blog I don't always smile in my photos, but if you met me in real life you would see that I smile and laugh most of the time. The smile in these photos takes me back to long ago days spent jumping on my friend Therese's huge trampoline while listening to CDs from her stereo. Therese got a job in high school about a year before I did and she bought that trampoline. We loved to blast the music as loud as possible to annoy passersby and neighbors. Therese got annoyed because all I wanted to play was Celine Dion's Falling Into You album. Those were the days.
