Last time I wore this fringed leather skirt I really dressed it up with patent heels and a Chanel necklace. This time I dressed it down by pairing it with a boxy cable knit sweater and some chunky ankle boots. Try doing the same for your leather skirts so you can take them from day to night. When I was featured in amNewYork along with some other fashion bloggers I was asked to name an item on my wish list and I said it would have to be this Isabel Marant fringed leather skirt. Well, I guess my boyfriend heard me because he got it for me for Christmas and I was beyond ecstatic to receive it. It is one of those pieces that I will never get sick of simply because it has fringe. This is my first piece ever by Isabel Marant and the quality is amazing. I did some dorky twirling moves so you could see the fringe skirt in action.
I kept the look simple by pairing it with an overworn James Perse v-neck tee. I definitely need more fitted t-shirts in my wardrobe. I went crazy getting a lot of loose, oversized ones, but sometimes when the skirt is busy or full you need something form fitting on top. I have a lot of trouble finding outfits to wear with these Giuseppe Zanotti colorblock lace-up sandals, but when I put together this outfit I just walked into my closet and saw these shoes sitting in the 'worn once' pile and I thought, finally, I found the perfect outfit for them. I think they really offset the feminine mini skirt. I call them my tuxedo shoes and I really like the masculine vibe. For jewelry I thought I needed a necklace and to make the outfit even more girly I chose this bow pearl Chanel necklace. I like wearing a huge statement necklace with v-neck tops and this was no exception.
