I've been living in this Wildfox tank all week.
I wore this ensemble out to a rural area for a little midday picnic with the boyfriend. The A.P.C. suede ankle boots that I snagged at the Net-a-Porter sale are taking over my feet due to their extreme comfort. Bright shorts in a light orange color from Siwy paired with a neon orange lace bralette from Maison Scotch added some color to the look, while the athletic oversized tank from Wildfox lended an athletic vibe. Oliver Peoples sunglasses, a Jimmy Choo fringe bag, and huge bohemian earrings finished off the outfit. You can subscribe to my YouTube channel to see all my videos.

Henry Beguelin Beaded Leather Zipper Bracelet in Bronze - Gift from Boyfriend at Henry Beguelin boutique in Aspen, CO
I have been looking for a long fitted black skirt like this one for as long as I can remember. I have a long black skirt in silk by Elizabeth and James that I love, but this one from Kimberly Ovitz is made out of the softest modal and it feels great against my skin. It doesn't wrinkle like silk, which is a big plus if you travel frequently. The skirt actually consists of two layers of jersey fabric, but it is still pretty thin. If I could get everything that Kimberly Ovitz has ever made I definitely would because her pieces are basics for any wardrobe. I was going for a bohemian vibe with the maxi skirt so I paired it with some different textures and cool accessories.
Layered over the skirt is this Alexander Wang velvet ribbed tunic or chenille tunic as my boyfriend calls it. Now keep in mind that layering a fabric like chenille over a skirt that already has a double layer of fabric is not the most flattering silhouette for anyone, especially after eating rigatoni. I did it nonetheless. This tunic is very warm and thick and I like the way the hem is designed to create a shape around your hips. I have to admit that I was a sucker for all the chenille designs Wang had going down the runway. I see that many people were not as into it as the pieces went on sale. The reason they might have went on sale is that they were made in only one size and they are very fitted. I feel pretty lucky that I have the pants and two tops in velvet. I think having some velvet pieces in your wardrobe can really allow you to play with textures and make some basic pieces pop. My favorite part about this tunic is the vibrant cobalt blue color. Net-a-Porter had a version in black that was on sale for less, but I really wanted the blue from Shopbop so I paid more. It shows you have to go after what you really love. Plus, I have so many black bottoms that it is nice to have a colorful top for contrast.
For accessories I wore this beautiful bracelet that I got courtesy of my boyfriend when I was shopping with my friend Christina in Aspen. They had all kinds of colors, but this one worked best with my skin tone. What I really love about this bracelet is the leather zipper detailing. It really sets it apart from other beaded bracelets you see around. You really have to scrunch your hand up to get it on and then try to zip it yourself or have someone help you. It is a beatiful piece though and very stretchy. I like the bronze color against the cobalt tunic. The Henry Beguelin flagship store in Aspen has all kinds of incredible jewelry pieces. I cannot wait to go back again. I wanted everything because it was so unique. I have two other pieces that I have worn on the blog from Henry Beguelin, including some graduated disc earrings and a fringe beaded chain necklace. You can always click on a brand/designer/store in the sidebar on my blog and it will take you to all the posts where I am seen wearing anything of that designer.
Last but not least I am wearing my Alexander Wang beatle boots for a third time. I think I finally found the perfect pair of boots for long skirts, simply because the heel is so cool and that is all you really see. So many times it is hard to find a shoe that will get noticed underneath your bell bottoms and maxi skirts, but I think this is what this shoe was born to do. With a heel like that it will always get noticed.

J Brand 9610 Skinny Jeans with Zipper in Underground - Gift from Boyfriend at Boogie's in Aspen, Colorado
Camilla Skovgaard Bi-Color Leather Boots in Thunder/Taupe - Worn before here with Wolford tights and IRO tunic
This was a somewhat monochromatic outfit for an afternoon Starbucks run, but I really like the end result. Outfits can look so different in photos than when you lay them out on your bed or even just look at yourself in the mirror wearing the ensemble. I started with the Camilla Skovgaard boots, which are tough as nails and easy to wear. My jeans have all been feeling neglected and since it was really cold I decided to take this gray pair by J Brand out for a spin. My James Perse v-neck tee was readily available so I threw that on. I also found this Gold Hawk cardigan, another neglected treasure of cashmere and silk, laying carelessly on my bed. As I have said before, I recently separated my closet into two parts, things I have worn already and things that have never been worn. This cardigan still had the tags attached and it fit in with my color scheme. Last but certainly not least I grabbed the best leather jacket I own by SWORD. It was an investment, but well worth it. I saw this necklace lying on my dresser and I always liked it so I threw that on as well. These outfits sort of come together randomly, as they should. It is simply what I wore to go get coffee, but I hope you like it!

Quail Silk June Skirt in Gray - Snagged off Gilt.com for $49 (Retail: $148)

Derek Lam Odesa Lace Up Sandals in Gray - Worn before here with Free People floral dress
When I picked out this outfit I started by deciding that I wanted to wear these Derek Lam lace up sandals. I like the different shades of gray the laces and the shoes have and I wanted that to come out in my outfit. Within my recent purchases from Gilt Group, I found the perfect tank top and skirt. I own this Quail june skirt in two other colors because it just seems like a fun basic silk skirt to have around and I like the button detail going up the front. This Alexander Wang pocket tank was another great snag from Gilt and I am sure I will end up wearing it constantly. I added a fringe chain necklace my boyfriend bought me at the Henry Beguelin boutique in Aspen. I find myself always wanting the same necklaces over and over and they always have some sort of fringe on them.

Henry Beguelin Rose Gold Hammered Disc Earrings - Worn before here with Miu Miu satin daisy clogs and LaRok silk shorts
These shoes are so comfortable and have fast become one of my favorite pairs. I own another pair of Emilio Pucci studded cutout shoes that I adore and wore in a previous post, but this suede pair with the lace-up detailing is much easier to walk in. I like to think of these shoes as my Pocahontas heels. They are like moccasins, but with a stiletto heel. My only worry is that they will get dirty fast, but I am usually pretty careful. I saw a vest similar to these shoes in the Henry Beguelin store in Aspen and I almost wish I would have gotten it. It was on sale, but I thought the light suede would not stay clean for very long. I guess I was still thinking of that vest when I snagged these shoes on the Net-a-Porter website. When I saw this Mara Hoffman silk dress on Gilt I put it in my cart right away and checked out as fast as I could. It sold out very fast. I knew I wanted to wear it as a dress and I have all these Free People slips laying around so everything worked out perfectly. The print on this dress made me think of my favorite earrings. I don't think I will ever get sick of these hammered discs. The rose gold color is just too perfect for me.
