I just have to say how much I love these Rick Owens DRKSHDW leggings. They are so comfortable because they are made out of 100% lycra. I especially like the pintucking detail around the knees as knees have never been that pretty to look at. They are made in Italy and I snagged them for a great price off of Forward Forward, Revolve Clothing's higher end retail website. They also have this tail piece attached to them and I have no idea if it has any purpose as you can tell in the video. I think it is cute though, almost like a cat tail. I think these leggings will stay in great condition for years to come because the fabric seems very strong.
I paired them with this Vince sweater that has some sheer metallic thread striping throughout it. I snagged this sweater off of Gilt Groupe during their first ever Vince sale. It was one hectic sale with people keeping things in their cart for what seemed like hours. I stood my ground though and managed to get some great cashmere basics like this sweater. Shopbop also has this sweater available on sale, but the price isn't quite as low as the Gilt Groupe price. I am hoping Gilt has more Vince sales.
I like leggings with pumps so I paired the Rick Owens pants with these black patent pumps by Alejandro Ingelmo. These are so beautiful and pretty high quality. They are made in Italy and I snagged these off of Gilt Groupe as well a couple years ago. They were one of my first pairs of black patent pumps. Believe it or not, finding a great basic pump is sometimes harder than you think. Gilt often has Alejandro Ingelmo shoe sales so I highly recommend that you check them out. He makes great shoes for a more reasonable price than many other shoe designers. Plus, they are actually comfortable and easily wearable for a full day of walking.
