Spring seems like it's here so I am debuting some of my Givenchy sandals for the first time on the blog.  I cannot wait to wear them with bare feet.  They are pretty comfortable due to the wedge heel and I love the elastic bondage straps holding my feet in and the extra ankle strap.  This is one of my absolute favorite button down shirts due to the pearl detailing and buttons.  I snagged it from Fashion Toast Rumi Neely's ebay store Treasure Chest Vintage.  It is an older shirt from Express when the label said Express Worldbrand and it still had the tags attached when I bought it.  This skirt is part of an Elizabeth and James suit.  The top part which I am not wearing is a sleeveless blazer.  I will have to wear that soon, maybe with the skirt as a set.  This faux fur vest is coming in handy around this time of year as a coat.  It is reversible and it has this beautiful silk lining with a pretty print.  Next time I will wear it with the print side showing.  The other detail I like about it is the cross back, which makes it stand out in a sea of faux fur vests.  This vest was a great snag because I got it in the 70% off section of Shopbop.  I liked layering this vest over a silk long sleeve shirt because of the contrasting fabrics and I also think you need something thin and lightweight under such a bulky material. 

These photos were taken around the Denver University (DU) campus on a deserted Sunday.  I was thinking about going to law school here at one time when I was getting fed up with studying for the MCAT and it is a beautiful place with gorgeous buildings.  We will have to take some more photos here soon.  The sunlight was so warm and I love feeling it on my face.  I cannot wait for summer!

Any piece of clothing that has a cat on it usually catches my eye and I fall in love.  It's probably because my lovely boyfriend is allergic to cats and I grew up with lots of cats around and only one dog.  Now I am surrounded by three dogs and wishing I had a cat.  I used to collect all these glass knickknacks of cats when I was a kid and my room was full of them.  I especially love cats with long black fur because they remind me of my favorite cat Speedy.  He had beautiful green eyes and a tuft of white hair on his neck, but the rest of him was all long black hair.  It is funny I even named him Speedy because he really wasn't that fast, but as a kid that was the name I came up with for him. 

These boots are the most comfortable boots I own.  As with the other Camilla shoes I wore previously, these have a lug sole that makes even the longest commutes a breeze.  They look like a boot that means business and could potentially kick some butt if needed.  I am trying to wear all my boots before it gets too hot and this weather has been perfect for them, slightly cool, but a little warmer and most of the snow has melted. 

This American Apparel mesh dress has come in pretty handy and I love how it looks with this dress.  I just turned a summer dress into a winter/spring dress.  All you need to add is a leather jacket or faux fur coat.  This outfit seemed like the perfect attire for hanging out and shooting pool and since I am such a big pool shark it only seemed fitting that I show you our pool table.  Paul Newman would have been proud of the way I fleeced my boyfriend's wallet after the shoot when I beat him at eight-ball.

This sequin dress is one of my favorites.  It is so easy to throw on and you feel like a Barbie in it because of the deep pink color.  I pulled out my Gucci thigh high boots again because now that it is March I might not get to wear them for much longer.  I think diamond studs are on every girl's must-have jewelry list as they go with absolutely any outfit.

It would be really hard to play the piano in these boots, but I do dabble in playing from time to time.  I played the clarinet for 6 years so reed instruments are more my specialty.  Lucky for me, this is a Disklavier piano so it plays on its own.

What can I say?  I am loving lace more than ever so I decided to break out one of my favorite (and my boyfriend's favorite) body-con dresses on a snowy day. I love the back details on this dress and the three buttons on the back of the neck.  The sunshine hasn't shown its face for a few days and Colorado has finally decided to kick this whole winter season into high gear, much to my dismay.  I haven't let the weather dampen my spirits though.  I dressed up in some suede wedges I know would never make it through the snow without being permanently disfigured.  I love the shiny wedge detail and the mesh inset upper.  Can you tell I read the clothing descriptions on Shopbop a little too often?  These things are going to be cute once the snow goes bye bye. 

I buy absolutely everything Vera makes because the quality and design is always perfect and in one of my recent Deep in Vogue packages she threw in this cream colored faux fur scarf, which is so soft I think I could sleep with it every night.  I decided to pair it with black for a rich black and cream/gold color scheme.  We set up our photoshoot in a corner bar of the master bedroom and went to town.  My dear boyfriend bought me this lovely bangle that he picked out himself from Hermes.  He has pretty good taste in jewelry and I make sure to let him know.  I picked up this stuffed kitty at the Denver Zoo when my sister, niece, and nephew visited us in Colorado in the summer of 2008.  He still had his tags on, but I finally cut them off for the photos.  I love his big blue eyes.  My niece picked out the same cat on that trip.  I think he loves Vera's faux fur scarf just as much as I do.

My boyfriend and I went out for movie night on Wednesday and had a blast.  We went to Landmark Theatres where you can get VIP seating and services for a little extra money.  Imagine free flowing buttery movie theater style popcorn and soda brought to your seat all throughout the movie.  The only downside was my bladder.  I missed a few parts in the movie due to some bathroom pit stops.  Too much soda can do that, but you need some with the buttery, salty popcorn. 

I think I was the most dressed up one at the movie theater, but that's okay.  I wanted to look good for our date night, yet still be comfy for the long movie.  I decided to break out an American Apparel dress as that is somewhat of a fashion blogger must, right?  It seems like everyone owns one and it is a perfect little dress.  I have it in black too, but I wanted to wear it in gray for a change.  I absolutely love this Elizabeth and James blazer.  I think the color and fit is gorgeous.  The only downside was all the time I spent steaming it when it arrived from Gilt.  You never realize how much of a workout steaming can be until you try to steam a wool blazer.  My arms were pretty sore since I am quite the perfectionist in getting every wrinkle and crease out. 

The shoes are my favorite part of the outfit.  Look at the tread and traction on the soles of these beauties.  I could have walked painlessly for miles and looked chic at the same time.  I love Camilla's shoes and this particular pair is great when there is some moisture on the ground.  That rubber sole works wonders.  These earrings were a cute addition to really top off the outfit.  I really like the color of them and the gold tassel.  This beret is extra soft and comfy and added some extra warmth from the cool air.

Teddi decided to join in on some photos so I hope you don't mind.  She was inspecting my outfit for the night, but wasn't too happy with it since (as you can see) she prefers the "au naturel" look.  She always gets nervous when she knows I am leaving the house and going out for the night.  She prefers me to stay at home and play with her and all her favorite toys.

This is the best jacket I have ever had in my life.  I searched endlessly for the perfect motorcycle jacket and this is what I found.  I paid a hefty price for it, but I think I will wear the hell out of it.  My boyfriend usually comes up with the location for the shoots and as you can tell this was definitely his idea.  I kept swooning over my motorcycle jacket so it only made sense to do the photoshoot near some motorcycles.  Luckily, we happened to drive by the Harley store!  I like to add a pop of color to whatever outfit I am wearing and I thought the red skirt really did the trick with this outfit.  These Jimmy Choos are my current favorite pair of shoes.
