These shoes look like heeled moccasins and as far as I'm concerned a bohemian like myself cannot go wrong wearing heeled moccasins.

Suddenly I was feeling that magical, sparkly feeling that made me want to start a fashion blog. The feeling of creating something new, different, and slightly intimidating.
I am always up for taking chances (cue Celine Dion) so in this look I went where no man or woman has gone before and I attempted a crochet on crochet ensemble. I like the end result. Do you? You can subscribe to my YouTube channel to see all my videos.

Anguillan Shell Bracelet in Blue - Snagged in Anguilla from a beach vendor for $5
I just received this Opening Ceremony fringe crochet tee and I decided to put it on right away and snap some photos. It started raining so we had to shoot indoors, but that didn't stop me from expressing my excitement over this fabulous piece. I am a sucker for fringe and the details on this top make it well worth the price I paid. I could not stop dancing around in it. Lately I have been buying lots of Opening Ceremony items and I am very impressed with the quality of the clothing. I cannot wait to take this little tee dress on a Caribbean vacation. I have a feeling it would look killer over a little red bikini, but I could be wrong.
I paired it with my one and only pair of high waisted denim shorts by Genetic Denim. I have a hard time finding high waisted denim shorts that aren't vintage. I adore these shorts because they fit my body like a glove and are pretty comfortable. The wash is the perfect color as well. I wore this coral lace bralette underneath the crochet tee to add some summer color and I also threw on this shell bracelet that I bought from a beach vendor in Anguilla. I feel like I am ready to hit the beach in this outfit. To add to the bohemian/hippie/beach feel I wore these Giuseppe Zanotti wood clog platform sandals. I love every variation of the twiggy sandal that Zanotti designed. You saw me in the leopard pony hair version a few weeks ago. The sandal suits my style and it is easy to walk around in all day.

Derek Lam Odesa Lace Up Sandals in Gray - Snagged off Shopbop.com for $395 (Retail: $790)

Anguillan Beach Vendor Magnetic Bead Necklace/Bracelet/Etc. - Snagged from beach vendor Michael in Anguilla for $10
This dress had been hanging in my closet with the tags still attached for over a year so I decided it was time for it to see the light of day. It is really the perfect summer floral dress made of breathable cotton sateen, the softest kind of cotton. Purple seems to be a great color for me, but as I get older I notice myself choosing things in mostly blacks, grays, and whites. I remember when I was younger I wanted everything in pink. It was a sick obsession of mine. My mom brought some of my clothes from home here to Denver with her when she visited and I was appalled by all the pink items I had accumulated. My very first designer purse purchase was a baby pink Juicy Couture satchel that I used to death. This thing had bubble gum stuck to the bottom by the time I was done with it and trust me, the bubble gum wasn't mine. I say wear pink while you still can and enjoy wearing it.
These Derek Lam Odesa sandals had been on my mind for a long time before I finally took the plunge. The problem was that I could not see them in person to investigate the cork heel. I try to stay away from cork as it isn't very durable. However, these are almost a faux cork. The heel is made of leather with a faux cork laminate. The color gray is a neutral color perfect for most outfits and the shoes are unbelievably comfortable. This necklace I am wearing actually unwraps into a long string of magnetic beads. You can basically make it into whatever you want, a bracelet, anklet, etc. When we stayed at Cap Juluca in Anguilla there was a really sweet guy that came by selling all kinds of jewelry. Knowing me, I never let a shopping opportunity pass me by, even when laying on the most perfect stretch of pristine beach I had ever seen. Needless to say, Michael made a lot of money off of me or should I say, off my poor boyfriend.
