I wanted a swing like this one for my entire life and I knew the perfect spot for the swing would be under this apple tree near where my pets are buried. Sometimes I go back here and I feel like I am with the guinea pigs I've lost once again. As you can see, I take my guinea pigs pretty seriously. Sometimes I call them pigs and people get confused. Having guinea pigs is like having your very own miniature farm and it is a lot of work if you want to keep the farm going and have the pigs live a long time. I love it and it is an irony for someone like me who loves designer shoes and fashion to at the same time love to get down and dirty in guinea pig cages. I've always been this way though and if I had to choose between the two it would be an easy decision. The guinea pigs always win.
We were thinking about shooting photos on the swing for quite some time so when I received these Miu Miu starfish sandals I thought they would be perfect for the setting. I paired them with a dress I bought back in 2008 by Rachel Pally. It is one of the softest dresses I own and quite romantic. I've been saving it for a beach vacation, but at the same time forgetting to bring it each time. On my wrist I wore a beautiful mint green bracelet with a magnetic closure. Lauren from Lapis Beach contacted me and let me pick out a piece from her Etsy store. I received the bracelet 2 days later and I was immediately impressed with the quality and the ease with which the bracelet goes on the wrist.
