Have you ever centered your entire outfit around a purse or bag?
Have you ever centered your entire outfit around a purse or bag? That is exactly what happened here. I snagged this beautiful green python Chloe bag during the Net-a-Porter sale and I wanted to style it as soon as it arrived. In my mind I saw stripes, denim, and some 70s platforms sandals. Always on the lookout for striped tees, I snagged this soft one by Feel The Piece. It features slightly longer sleeves, which I think are flattering on long arms. It retails for a pretty reasonable price as well. I could have gone two ways for the bottoms, either denim shorts or a denim skirt. It was 95 degrees so jeans were out of the question. I went with my Acne denim skirt because I've always had a love for jean skirts. This one is higher waisted, which makes it seem more appropriate than those hip-hugging ones I used to wear years ago. Alaia made some shoes in my favorite color combo and they feature laser-cut detailing. I am always a sucker for cutouts on shoes. These look very vintage to me and bohemian. I also think the colors are neutral so they go well with green and blue and white stripes. On my wrist I wore some more blue in the form of a Kristen Elspeth silk cord bracelet. Silk jewelry feels so much lighter for hot summer days.
