Giuseppe Zanotti Patent Colorblock Sandals
These photos were taken after a brief downpour while my favorite horses were grazing. The air was sticky, yet cool so I decided to wear a long sleeve tee dress from T by Alexander Wang. This is about my third time wearing this and photographing it for the blog. I have worn it many other times as a longer top with shorts and didn't get a chance to photograph those outfits. However, the fact that I have worn it so much attests to what a great basic it is to have in your closet. It is made from the same fabric as his pocket tanks and tees, which makes it super soft. It is also loose-fitting which makes it easy to style in many ways. Each time I have worn it has a dress I've belted it with either a waist belt or hip belt.
This time I wore a very unique leather corset from Alexander Wang over the dress to emphasize my waist. This belt is very different and looks like the top of a pair of pants to me. My boyfriend was not keen on this belt when I bought it last year on sale, but I think I finally did it justice in this outfit. It is a difficult piece to style and pull off because the fit is not the most flattering. I guess this is what fashion bloggers do when they create outfits. A non fashion blogger might have worn the dress without any belt, but I had to do something different to make the look interesting. I kept the clothing all black and relatively simple to showcase these neon colorblock platform sandals from Giuseppe Zanotti. I wanted these the first time I laid eyes on them, but I was patient because I already have too many shoes and not enough time to wear all of them. They went on sale for 60% off and that is when the temptation became too much. I think they are the perfect summer sandals, don't you?
