These Alaia shoes were just begging to be paired with something red. The reddest piece I could find at the moment I wanted to wear them was this Equipment blouse in sangria that I snagged last year. Worn open to show off your waist, the shirt acts more like a little jacket and is slightly sheer. I wore a perfectly soft ribbed tank from Vince underneath. The leather shorts from J Brand are getting some heavy use before the heat really sets in this summer. The leather on these is as buttery soft as it looks and the fit is flattering. Gold studs on the suede of these raffia wedges led me to wear lots of gold jewelry. I thought this watch was just some random vintage watch, but it turns out it is a Raymond Weil. I guess the thrift shopping in Aspen, Colorado isn't too bad. How do you feel about designer shoes made of raffia? I was not too keen on them from afar, but these Alaia wedges changed my mind. I judge pieces pretty harshly based on what I think it cost to make them and the materials used. However, these Alaia sandals were too beautiful to pass up and surpassed my expectations. Next time you see them I think I will be wearing a red dress.
