Nothing beats sitting on a bench in the middle of a really green patch of grass. Sometimes the sun is so intense in Denver that I can't help but be transfixed by its warmth. I've always love the sun and summer so much more than fall and winter. Growing up in North Dakota I saw enough snow to last me a lifetime. The simple pleasures in life are always the best. We just started photographing more of my everyday outfits for Fashion Snag. For some reason I always felt like if I wasn't wearing the highest heels the outfit wasn't worth photographing. My reasoning has changed now and in doing so Fashion Snag will be more easily integrated into my daily life and errands. I think most people know you really can't go around all day in 5 inch stilettos. I really wish I could, and when I am unable to I end up resorting to a more bohemian look.
This cotton Rebecca Taylor camisole has a peasant feel and the fabric buttons shaped like balls make it seem really endearing. I wore it with my favorite denim shorts from Siwy. In terms of jean shorts I think Siwy Jeans will always be my favorite. They are made in the USA and they are super soft. Just feel one pair of them and you probably won't go back to whatever other denim you are wearing. Also, the leg openings are wide enough for athletic thighs. So many of the denim shorts I encounter do not leave enough room for my butt or things in all honesty. A set of gold bangles matches the fringe suede yellow boots perfectly. I bought these boots a long time ago and found them again after the closet clean. I have a renewed love for them and everything they represent. The color is bold and a nice change from the basic black ankle boots I adore. This is what you wear around here in Denver when the sun is relentless and you want to feel at home. You also always need a pair of sunglasses, always.
