The heel on these Alaia boots gets me every time. It is a testament to the time Alaia spent studying architecture.

I've always been attracted to burnout pieces made of silk. I just like the texture of them and when I saw this skirt last year on Gilt Groupe in this beautiful green leopard print I could not resist. I like little silk skirts like these because they are easy to mix and match with tops in your wardrobe. This full, frilly skirt is the perfect thing to contrast with the sexy suede thigh high boots. The skirt reminds me a little bit of a safari for some reason. Maybe it's the color and print? Either way, due to an African safari feeling in my head I wore this Equipment shirt on top, which also has a safari feel. It must be the double pocket detailing and the shoulder tabs. A sports bra from T by Alexander Wang was worn underneath. If you can get your hands on any bras from T by Alexander Wang I guarantee you will love them. I love mine so much I sometimes buy doubles if they get marked down. They are just plain comfortable. The heel on these Alaia boots gets me every time. It is a testament to the time Alaia spent studying architecture. A gold olive branch ring added just the right amount of sheen.
