These Haute Hippie peacock shorts were a late summer new arrival snag off of Shopbop.  They sold out in hours if you can believe it.  The only reason I know is because I debated about the purchase for a few hours and kept coming back to my computer to check the inventory levels.  I never saw them again until a couple weeks ago when they suddenly appeared again in full stock on Shopbop under the new arrivals section.  I was a little bit disappointed because I thought I was one of the lucky ones that snagged a rare piece.  It looks like they are sold out again though.  Peacock shorts of a lace fabrication can really do things to the mind and body.  They sort of make you go crazy.  Your boyfriend might also not understand your fascination with these particular shorts.  That is where the heels come into play.

I paired the shorts with opaque tights because they are pretty short and let's face it, my legs are not getting any tanner.  Shorts and tights are a favorite of mine and I would definitely wear them in every post except for the fact that you might get bored of seeing photos of the same basic ensemble.  I have to think up something new and I am no print mixing master so I try to vary things.  The gold Charlotte Olympia pumps are great for this time of year and since they matched the gold in the shorts so well I could not resist wearing them again.  The top is one of those pieces that still had the tags on it from around two years ago.  It is cashmere and really just a racerback sweater tank with a cowl neck.  I am starting to really wonder why I hadn't used it more often because it is perfect for blazers and jackets with fitted arms.  No sleeves is the way to go with these types of jackets.  Otherwise, you might feel like you are wearing a straight jacket.  Autumn Cashmere is one of those brands you cannot go wrong with.  They produce basics and most of the items are either 100% cashmere or soft cotton.  I had to wear my leather blazer from A.L.C. yet again.  I feel very businesslike when I wear this thing and I love leather and A.L.C.
