Getting into the holiday spirit I dressed up for a night out on the town.  This metallic fitted dress from Alice + Olivia was the perfect piece to put me in the mood.  It is brown, sparkly, and has daring side slits.  Sometimes you just want to wear a body-con dress and call it a day...or night.  This dress is available right now on Shopbop and on sale so run while it is still available.  It isn't itchy or scratchy either.  Paired with tights and some killer ankle boots from Gucci, the dress stood out.  These Gucci booties are actually called "kills" and I think it has something to do with that crazy stiletto heel.  These shoes are very walkable despite how they look to outsiders.  That is exactly what I love about them.  People will say, "Oh, aren't those heels killing you?" or "Aren't you uncomfortable in those shoes?"  Gucci shoes are neat like that.  They look killer, but they aren't killer on the feet.

I added some peacock feather earrings for a 1970s vibe.  I sorta wish I could have experienced the 1970s.  I have a feeling I would have fit into the scene quite nicely.  I have peacock on the brain obviously since I wore my peacock shorts recently.  These peacock earrings are the perfect gold color and made by one of my favorite jewelry designers, Alkemie Jewelry.  All their jewelry is made from reclaimed metal and they feature many animal inspired designs like starfish, peacocks, and rams.  Over the dress I wore this Sea NY faux fur coat.  Sea is a little known brand that I adore and I can only find their pieces on Gilt Groupe.  It has a detachable belt and next time I would like to show you how it looks all belted up because it changes the feel of the coat.

xoxo
