Every woman dreams of owning a pair of gold pumps. Don't tell me I'm the only one. These Charlotte Olympia priscilla pumps feature crackled metallic leather with zigzag detailing. In other words, they caught my eye right away on the Charlotte Olympia website. So much so that I ordered them directly from there after scouring the web only to find the same shoe in stripes and different prints, but not the gold I lusted after. I am really hoping they don't show up or become available somewhere else on the Internet after I paid extra duties to get them, but that is the risk you take when you are a shoe collector. Sometimes you win some by snagging them right away and sometimes you lose some. It is the gamble that makes you such a shoe lover. You are willing to risk it in order to have THOSE shoes. It is difficult to explain, but if you watch my Shoe Talk series you know I love my shoes.
These gold platform pumps are so elegant and so well-made they deserved to be paired with a sophisticated outfit. The Veda leather pencil skirt was something I was tracking for a couple weeks before finally taking the plunge. That slit really did me in. It is so sexy, but at the same time the length makes the skirt demure. The lining feels good against my skin and the skirt itself is not too tight or too loose. A StyleMint v-neck tee in a beatiful burgundy color worked really well tucked into the skirt. By tucking the skirt in I made my legs look longer. If I had left it untucked it wouldn't have the same effect on the body. I was really impressed with the StyleMint tees that were given to me. Some simple accessories with a downtown edge finished off the look. I added this jersey and mesh cutout scarf that ash&dans sent me. It is ultra soft and has that edgy vibe that contrasts with the skirt and pumps. I really liked the color of it against the burgundy top as well.
