To capture the deep, dark red that is present in the shorts I paired them with my tiniest cashmere sweater in merlot.

This outfit makes me feel like I should be starring in a western or something.  It started with the wool blanket-like shorts from Pendleton for Opening Ceremony.  Cut high on the sides and warmer than you can believe, they are decidely fun to wear.  It doesn't hurt that they are high quality and made in the USA either.  To capture the deep, dark red that is present in the shorts I paired them with my tiniest cashmere sweater in merlot.  In the process of looking for a top to go with the shorts I realized I have very little red tops in my wardrobe and made a mental note to do something about itSuede beige ankle boots would have been perfection with this outfit, but I settled for my taupe platform Pierre Hardy sandals.  The big, modern buckles and the chunky heel toughened up the short wool shorts.  My favorite hat by Pendleton on top of my head and my favorite fringe suede bag with python strap detailing completed the look.
