I wore a pair of Christian Dior platform wedges that I snagged off Yoox last year. They are from the spring 2010 collection and they are a patent nude color with ornate strap detailing.

Christian Dior Wedges in Skin Color/Beige
Kendall of Kendall K. let me pick out any piece from her fall 2011 collection and I ended up choosing this beautiful multi-color tie neck silk blouse. It feels fabulous against my skin and it has metallic lurex fibers running throughout to give it a sparkly, shiny appearance. The blouse itself is reminiscent of the 70s with the tie neck and the billowy sleeves. The print is beautiful and I wanted to capture it against the smoldering light of sunset. You really get to see just how shimmery and gorgeous the top is this way. The colors turned out to be perfect for my hair as well, but I could see this working just as well on brunettes. I cannot wait until the temps cool down so I can pair this with high-waisted burgundy trousers and rusty orange corduroy flares. It can be styled in so many different ways, but since we are still having temps in the 80s I wore my lace cuffed shorts with it.
Rory Beca made some beautiful lace shorts for summer 2010 so if you check out Rory Beca under the categories section of my blog on the lefthand sidebar you can see my other pieces. These ones are a little bit more formal and longer, making them perfect for the casual elegance vibe I wanted to exude. My Alkemie Jewelry peacock feather earrings are my favorite piece of jewelry at the moment and seemed to match the gold in the blouse so perfectly. The Jimmy Choo gold and black embossed bag reminds me of the 70s as well. I wore a pair of Christian Dior platform wedges that I snagged off Yoox last year. They are from the spring 2010 collection and they are a patent nude color with ornate strap detailing. I liked my Dior bonnie wedges so much from the same collection that when I saw these with the same exact platform I knew they would be comfortable and a welcome addition to my closet.
Stay tuned for a giveaway featuring this Kendall K. aviana blouse!
