This skirt caught my eye a few months ago and I waited until it went on sale to snag it.  The bold geometric patterns and chunky yarn embroidery made it stand out from the rest of the mini skirts.  I adore Gryphon skirts and I have worn a scalloped green one before on Fashion Snag encrusted with rhinestones.  Both of my Gryphon skirts were made in India, which is why I think they look so unique.  I like a good silk/cotton blend in fabrics and this skirt consists of just that mixture.  This one is so colorful so I went along with that theme by pairing it with a basic ribbed tank from Abercrombie & Fitch.  I live in these types of tanks all summer long when I am running errands.  I have them in all the colors so I was happy to see that this turquoise one matched the Gryphon skirt perfectly.  I am never afraid of matching items too much.  I think you can have lots of fun with this skirt by pairing it with different color tops or even a different patterned top.  I wore my Only Hearts coral lace bralette underneath.  I've always liked coral/red and turquoise together.  For shoes, I wore my current favorite pair of wedges by Givenchy.  Some white Hawaiian stone earrings by Little Darling Designs completed the summer look.  I think these are my favorite pair of earrings out of all the pieces Kori sent me, but it is difficult to decide.

I have always been a sucker for any piece of clothing with a horse on it so when Karina of Tea Leaf Clothing offered to send me this airbrushed horses tee by Rebel Yell in this beautiful yellow color I found it hard to resist.  I have another top by Rebel Yell that hasn't been photographed yet, but it is a beautiful embroidered peasant looking top with cool buttons.  I find Rebel Yell tops and tees to be very soft and this horse one is no exception.  What I really love about this burnout tee is the fact that the armholes are extremely oversized, which makes it suprisingly easy to show off a colorful bralette or one of those cutout bras.  You cannot see it here, but I am wearing an Only Hearts bra with side cut-outs so if someone did happen to get a glimpse through the armholes of my shirt they would find that I am wearing a pretty nifty bralette.

I paired the Rebel Yell tee with my Siwy studded denim shorts.  I think studs may go in and out in terms of trendiness, but they never completely die.  When I need to add that certain edge to a casual outfit I reach for these Siwy jean shorts because they have the gold studs along the pocket area.  Siwy jean shorts are made from the softest denim and that is why I have a huge collection of them and my boyfriend keeps reminding me of just how many pairs I have and why don't I wear them even more.  I tell him there are only so many days I can wear denim shorts in a row since I am a fashion blogger and all.  They never understand.  I could live in these for a week, but you would never know it because I try to keep things interesting on Fashion Snag.

For jewelry I wore my trusty Giles & Brother cuff.  I think I throw this on with just about everything because it goes with just about everything.  I am also wearing another pair of earrings designed by Kori of Little Darling Designs in Hawaii.  She sells a lot of jewelry in her Etsy shop so you should definitely check it out.  These earrings are delicate, lightweight, and I love the yellow and orange color combination.  The sea glass seems to catch the light of sunset and make time stand still for a moment.

Dorothy from LAMO footwear was kind enough to let me pick out a pair of shoes from the summer collection.  Out of all the comfortable sheepskin shoes, I decided to pick out these leather tie-dye sandals with a suede footbed.  I like how the strap going across my toes is brown and both the straps of the shoe and back are this beautiful blue tie-dye color.  My favorite color to mix with tie-dye is yellow so as soon as I received these shoes I was happy to pair them with my new yellow Rebel Yell tee.  The sandals are very comfortable so if you like sheepskin boots you will probably like these as well.  They are a great alternative to flip flops and have a slight platform.  It was my first experience with LAMO footwear.  Who knew they made sheepskin sandals for summer?

Watch the video to see where I like to hang out!

We took these photos right before heading out the door to a pool party at a friend's house.  Of course I brought along some flip flops for comfortable lounging, but heels always look better for photos.  Rachel from Bikini Thief was kind enough to let me pick out a swimsuit to model on Fashion Snag.  I had never heard of Bikini Thief swimwear before Rachel contacted me, but now I know I will definitely be buying some of their bikinis in the future.  I picked out the electric blue and black string bikini that was spotted on Kim Kardashian.  She wore the coral colored version and looked amazing in it.  Rachel sent it with this cute little Bikini Thief palm tree covered bag to store your wet bikini so your other clothing stays dry.  I am a huge fan of string bikinis like this one since I am not that well endowed on top.  You can tie them however you want and they always fit.  I also like leopard as I am sure you have noticed by now.  It was a no-brainer for me to pick out this swimsuit.  Kate Bosworth was also recently spotted in a retro-looking Bikini Thief bikini.  The celebrities really love Bikini Thief.

Kori of Little Darlings Hawaii contacted me about her jewelry line and let me pick out some pieces to style on Fashion Snag.  She makes amazing jewelry using natural stones and sea glass she finds on the beaches of Hawaii.  Her delicate creations suit my beachy bohemian style perfectly.  I wore these ophelia earrings from her summer collection that have the perfect black colors to match the bikini.  The earrings are so light I forget I am even wearing them.  I thought the best way to style one of the jewelry pieces would be with a bikini since they are Hawaiian inspired.  Next time I hope I will be wearing both the bikini and the earrings in Hawaii.  It has been way too long.

I wore the bikini with my Nightcap Clothing crochet shorts in black.  I wore these same shorts in white about a week ago with my Aguaclara swimsuit.  It has been so hot that it is hard to cover up with much more.  I like how delicate the crochet is on these shorts and the ribbon tie ensures a perfect fit every time.  I also have a Nightcap Clothing crochet cover up top with a hoodie in white that I have to wear next time I am in a swimsuit.  These Derek Lam lace-up cork platform sandals are great for beachy summer outfits such as this one.  I think these are my only pair of shoes with a cork platform.  The rope lace-up detailing adds to the feel of this summer shoe.  I think these would work so well on a boat or yacht.

Chanel Sunglasses in Blue - Last seen here with Elkin dress and Prada platform sandals

I am taking this bright color trend for summer 2011 as far as I can by wearing this fluorescent pink Naven silk pleated mini skirt from Tea Leaf Clothing.  It is a high quality skirt made right in Los Angeles.  Paris Hilton has been seen rocking this skirt as well.  What I really like about the skirt is the slanted pleating detail in the front.  The back of the skirt zips up quite nicely and is not pleated.  You can dress this skirt up to make it ultra sexy or dress it down for a casual daytime look, which is how I wore it.  This was my first experience with Naven clothing and it will not be my last as the quality of the silk exceeded my expectations and the pleating was done in such a way that it added to the design of the skirt instead of taking away from it.

It is a higher rise skirt which is what made me want to pair it with this Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent belt.  The moment I saw this belt I knew I had to snag it.  It has this beautiful fabric print that some might call tribal combined with a brown leather trim.  I thought it helped to dress down the skirt and stay true to my bohemian style.  I can see using this belt with so many different pieces in my closet.

I also wore a T by Alexander Wang plain white ribbed tank top that is slightly sheer.  When you are wearing bright colors it is best to downplay them with some black or white.  Underneath the Alexander Wang tank I am wearing a new brand of bra.  Dorothy from Itty Bitty Bra was kind enough to send me two bras.  Itty Bitty Bras are specifically designed for small busted women falling into the A and B cup range.  I have never had much luck with strapless bras myself as they always fall down on me, but I was pleasantly surprised when wearing this strapless number by Itty Bitty Bra.  It never fell down and stayed in place and it was also very comfortable.  Sometimes strapless bras can dig into your skin due to all the underwire, but not this one.  I especially like the "u" notch between the cups.  It was voted the best strapless bra for small busted women by InStyle magazine as well.

To keep in line with the tribal print belt and daytime feel I wore my Givenchy woven leather wedge sandals.  These sandals are so comfortable for walking around and running errands.  I like that they have the detailed woven leather straps and they are a designer shoe, but they have that casual look that I adore.  These Givenchy wedges can really take a lot of wear and tear out on the streets, but no one can deny all the artistry that went into them.  I place a lot of faith in Givenchy shoes and they usually never disappoint me.  The leather on them is always so exquisite.
