This Rag & Bone leigh jacket is one of the best constructed jackets I have come across. It fits me perfectly. Some of you may remember me wearing it last fall in the olive color. Well, the camouflage color popped up for a super low price in my size and although the fabric is oh so slightly different, the fit is exactly the same. I think a camo army jacket is a must have in any wardrobe. It can toughen up the frilliest dress and also tone down bright pops of color as it did in my outfit. Next time I will definitely wear it with a white silk dress. I have always had a thing for camo items and I used to have this pair of camo pants from Abercrombie & Fitch that I wore to death. I probably still have them somewhere.
You have seen this Equipment blouse in sangria worn before on my blog with a leather skirt. This time I added it underneath the jacket for a pop of color. I think Equipment blouses will never go out of style and I have started collecting them in every color. This sangria color is a color I would like to see more of in my closet to contrast with all my black items. I used some crystal and diamond jewelry as accessories to soften up the look. R.J. Graziano makes some great costume jewelry and I find myself reaching for this crystal necklace time and time again. The ring is by Chanel and it is a diamond band with camellia cutouts, another gift from my boyfriend.
It is still pretty chilly some days here in Denver so I thought I should get as much use as I can out of my leather leggings. These Helmut Lang seamed leather leggings are one of my favorite pairs because they never stretch out and always fit like a glove. The seam detail is very well done. I admit that I have trouble with leather leggings in terms of comfort because outside they are perfect, but once I go inside they feel pretty hot and stuffy. I am sure these would come in handy during a North Dakota winter though. Next year I will see how they fare in 20 below weather complete with wind gusts.
