I am so ready for spring and all the cute floral prints that come along with it, but sometimes Denver can go from 60 degrees to 20 degress in 24 hours so that calls for some leather leggings.  These leather leggings by Current/Elliott might not be as fancy as my Helmut Lang seamed leather leggings, but they are so comfy I never want to take them off.  Thanks to the elastic waist band they are easy to slip on and off and you don't spend 20 minutes pulling them up your legs like some skinny pants.  I love the long side zipper and I think next time I wear them I will leave them unzipped.  I paired them with a slouchy metallic cashmere sweater by Vince.  Vince makes some of the best sweaters in my book and I snagged this one for a great deal off of Shopbop.  You cannot go wrong with cashmere and the casual raglan seams of this sweatshirt lend it to dressing down certain pieces such as leather pants.  The subtle gold metallic specks also make it nice for a going out at night outfit.  I really like the gold and gray mix. 

For accessories I wore one of my favorite pairs of earrings that my boyfriend bought me.  These Adina Reyter snake earrings are gold and just small enough for my tastes.  I also own a delicate bracelet by Adina Reyter that my boyfriend gave me.  I think she makes some fabulous jewelry and sometimes they feature her pieces on Gilt Groupe.  I really like snake jewelry, but it is hard to find it done right for a reasonable price.  Everything is gold plated nowadays, but these are actual gold and that makes me love them even more.  Now, if only I could find the perfect snake cuff to go with these, preferably with emerald eyes.  A girl can dream, right?  For shoes I decided to drag out my Fendi suede and mesh wedges again.  I think my boyfriend really got some great shots of them this time to show the shiny platform detail and the mesh and suede combo up close.

Karina from Tea Leaf Clothing sent me a beautiful package containing Winter Kate pieces from the spring 2011 collection and I was beyond thrilled.  I had to model this oakleaf floral dress right away because I thought it was absolutely adorable.  It reminds me of a 90s baby doll dress and the cut is very flattering.  The length is just right to pair it with over the knee socks.  The dress itself is silk with lace insets and some buttons going down the back that you don't really have to unbutton to get the dress itself on your body.  I think Nicole Richie is doing a great job because I didn't want to take this little dress off.  Underneath the dress I wore my Lonely Hearts cut out bra because I thought wearing a lace bra would take away from the look of the dress.  I like the bra strap showing in the back because it is very thin and then some cut outs from the bra peeking out from the sides of the dress, making the overall look more edgy. 

I played up the cuteness factor of the dress and the 90s feel by pairing it with gray over the knee socks from ASOS.  I swear that ASOS makes the best over the knee socks and the prices are definitely low.  I liked the gray color in combination with the floral print on the dress.  I am in the mood for spring and you know how much I love clogs so I am debuting my latest pair of clogs from Miu Miu on the blog.  These are somewhat similar to the Chanel clogs in terms of the studding detail, but they were such a low price at the Saks closing sale in Denver I could not resist.  Good thing my friend Marisol alerted me to the sale the very first day it was happening.  Otherwise, I might not have gotten these Miu Miu studded leather clogs.  I personally love the look of clogs with over the knee socks.

For accessories I wore my Max Steiner origami crane necklace which was given to me by Max Steiner Design.  I love this delicate little necklace and I have been wearing it nonstop lately.  This vintage hinged cuff was a steal off of eBay.  Like I said before, I don't buy much vintage, but I think vintage jewelry is a safe investment because it never smells bad.

This whole outfit except for the heels was snagged off of Gilt Groupe.  They had a Haute Hippie sale and I waited around for two hours to make sure I got this studded leather skirt in my cart.  I have to say that it was definitely worth it.  In my humble opinion I think Haute Hippie makes some of the best leather skirts on the planet.  They fit well and are the perfect length.  This one is a graphite gray color, which makes it different from a lot of my other leather skirts.  It also has beautiful circular studs perfectly placed throughout the leather.  The whole skirt looks and feels expensive and paying around $200 for a nice leather skirt is not half bad.  I am not complaining at least.  My boyfriend really loved the skirt and thought it was nice.  When I told him the retail he seemed a little scared, but then we did the video and he saw I paid a lot less for it by snagging it off of Gilt.  I like freaking my boyfriend out a little though.  It's fun!

I paired the gray studded leather mini with another item from the Haute Hippie sale.  This blush oversized pocket tee is soft to the touch.  I think it is a combination of modal, but I am not sure.  I love the color blush, especially with gray colors.  It helps that it is loose-fitting to balance out the form-fitting leather skirt.  You can never have enough basic tees in my book.  You will use them forever and they will probably fit forever.  Anyway, I was really pleased with my whole Haute Hippie order from Gilt Groupe.  Everything came on padded hangers in plastic bags and there were no hanger marks on my leather skirt.  I went for basic black ankle boots on the bottom that have some tulip vamping.  These are always good because they make your legs miles long.  Giuseppe Zanotti shoes always fit the same so I can order the same size in various styles of his shoes and be assured that it will always be the correct size.  I cannot say that about other shoe designers.  These ankle boots are actually really similar to my Miu Miu suede ankle boots.  They have the same design.

Vintage Stone Cuff Bracelet - Gift from friend

A.L.C. makes some of the most flattering dresses due to the ruching detail.  I own a striped sleeveless green one that I wore in the fall and linked to above, but when I saw this long sleeve green dress by A.L.C. go on sale at Shopbop I could not resist adding another one to my closet.  Green is a good color for me and I like the earthy vibes so I tend to be drawn to pieces that give me that good feeling and this dress did just that.  I like that it is long sleeved so I can wear it in the spring and winter.  A.L.C. dresses are pretty thick because they consist of two layers to get that ruching just right.  They are great quality and you won't have any seams ripping or coming apart when you slip them on despite the fact that they are so form-fitting.  If you don't own an A.L.C. dress I suggest you start stalking one until it goes on sale so you can snag it.  These are also easy breezy dresses to pack in your suitcase for quick trips.  You can dress this one down as I did here or dress it up with some stilettos. 

I dressed the A.L.C. twisty t dress down by pairing it with some clog booties.  These Derek Lam ankle boots scream casual and comfortable so that is why you will always find me wearing them.  They are even more adorable in person.  They have the perfect round thick laces that I know will never wear down and I can slip them on pretty easily.  Also, you can keep the cuff part on the top folded down or you can cuff it up, sorta like what preppy people do with their polo shirts.  I have yet to cuff them up, but that might happen the next time I wear them.  I added my favorite Amelia Earhart jacket by Adam.  This aviator shearling trimmed classic in camel had me as soon as I saw it walking down the runway.  I snagged it the minute it was up for sale.  I wore this Adam aviator jacket on the blog before with a gray dress, but this time I wanted to mix the camel color with olive green and I really like this effect as well.  The shearling trim is removable on this jacket, which turns it into just a basic leather aviator jacket.  For accessories I like to keep it simple and I pulled out my vintage stone cuff bracelet that was a gift from a dear friend.  I love this bracelet because of the color combination of the stones.  It has a big beautiful turquoise stone front and center.

Literature Noir Lambskin Leather Minidress in Black - Snagged off Gilt.com for $129 (Retail: $348)

I've really been into leather dresses lately so when I saw Gilt Groupe was having a sale feauturing Literature Noir I checked it out and this perforated leather tunic dress immediately caught my eye.  For $129 it was quite the snag and the leather is buttery soft.  I think the perforations soften up the tough look of the leather as well.  This is my first piece of clothing by Literature Noir, but it definitely won't be the last.  The quality is fabulous and the dress came with a slip lining.  You  have seen me in a cognac colored leather sleeveless dress by Vince, which was more vintage and mod looking.  This black  leather dress is definitely more edgy and a little sexy, but I think the loose fit keeps it from being too sexy and I like that.

I paired the Literature Noir leather dress with a pair of leopard print ankle boots by Yves Saint Laurent.  These are one of my favorite pairs of shoes.  The ocelot print is done so well and looks realistic.  They really are works of art so I can see why they orginally retailed for around $1700.  Good thing my boyfriend snagged them for me on sale.  You have seen me wearing them on the blog twice before outdoors, once with leggings and once with tights and shorts.  This is my first time wearing them with a dress and I like the overall result.

I cannot stop buying M Missoni.  It fills the need for the real Missoni because the clothing is made in Italy and the prints and fabrics are fantastic.  I love all their tube dresses and skirts.  If you followed me last summer you might remember me wearing a space dye skirt by M Missoni similar to the one pictured here.  This one has darker colors and reminds me of peacocks, while the one from this past summer had orange and bright green colors.  Their skirts fit perfectly and I believe you can also wear them as tube tops, but I haven't tried that out yet.  I am sure I will soon enough.  I paired the skirt with a bright turquoise silk camisole by Rory Beca.  I bought this two fold cami a long time ago on Revolve Clothing and it still had the tags on it and I swear it had been hanging in my closet for over a year.  This skirt seemed like the perfect match for it though since it has some of the same color blue present.  I really like this camisole because the turquoise color is perfect for spring and the back of it sort of opens up and it has these beautiful buttons.  I got it for quite the steal back when Revolve Clothing was running a 33% off promo for all clothing, even sale items.  I guess it pays to save most of the items in your closet as they always come back in style eventually.

To really bring the look together I added this Alice + Olivia satin cocoon blazer.  I have been wanting to wear this for months since I snagged it off of Gilt Groupe, but I never found the perfect outfit to really make it pop until now.  It is silk and it has two layers along the bottom, similar to a peplum skirt.  It also has a tie waist to really cinch everything in.  It looks luxurious and I didn't have to pay full price thanks to Gilt.  I really like how it makes me look business like.  I paired it with my Miu Miu satin pumps because they seemed to match the blazer so well.  I really like the overall outfit as it seems very polished and the blazer on top balances out the tight tube skirt.
