I've been making friends with the neighbor's new golden retriever puppy.  He is such a little cutie.  Today I threw a tennis ball over the fence and he was thrilled.  He started wagging his tail like crazy and he proudly trotted off with it in his mouth.  We take so many walks around our neighborhood that I know every dog by name and I also know their personalities pretty well.  I come up with my own names if I never meet their owners.  There is just something about animals that really clicks with me and I have always felt a deeper connection with them than with humans.  They are so innocent and I like caring for them. 

On to my outfit, I love this dress and I have already thought of how many different ways I can wear this.  I am trying to invest in higher quality clothing, which means I buy less items, but sometimes the items cost more.  3.1 Phillip Lim is slowly winning my heart and I have my eyes on another piece from his collection.  I pulled the Miu Miu daisy clogs out and despite what people may think they are not that hard to walk in and I find them to be one of my most comfortable pairs of shoes.  The shoes that lack a platform are usually the most difficult to walk in because they put some strain on your foot due to the angle.  I like high shoes though so maybe you can't take my word for it.  It was hotter than ever when we shot these photos and even though this dress looks light and airy and silky I was burning up!

So I succumbed to the pressure and bought these Jessica Simpson Dany Platforms in both brown and black.  They are really nice and I needed them for some of my more bohemian outfits.  They are different from all my other shoes as well.  These hitchhiker crochet shorts are like boxer shorts and I could wear them all day long.  The detailing on them is gorgeous and delicate.  I can see myself wearing these over and over.  I kept it simple this time for a sushi date and paired them with a black tank and one of my big necklaces.  Don't you love owl necklaces?  As usual, Gilt is a great spot to get jewelry on sale for all your outfits.  I picked up these Jessica Simpson shoes on Zappos and I also have a banner on the left side of my blog that will take you right to them if you want to order them.  I am so happy I got these shoes.  I never got sick of seeing them on everyone else and they go with everything.

So I found the perfect low cowboy boots complete with inside zipper and everything.  I loved them so much and my boyfriend actually liked them too and thought they were pretty practical so he bought them for me.  The leather is like butter and they are very comfortable.  It is safe to say that I want to wear these every day now.  This Equipment shirt is the best color of green.  I used to care about steaming my clothes, but now I like the wrinkled look.  I still can't stop wearing my leather shorts.  It seems like every designer has come out with their own version of leather shorts.  I might as well wear this pair as much as I can because I am sure next fall they will have even more to choose from.
